Is Manny Pacquiao REALLY the "Mexican Assasin"?

There is a way out for old and washed up fighters.
Have you heard of the word retirement? If a boxer is no longer at the top of his game, he should retire with dignity.

These Mexican boxing legends chose to fight Pacquiao and it's Manny's fault? The problem with some fans is that they drum and hype up their champs' attributes before the fight. Then after losing to Pac, they suddenly become old men to their eyes just to deny Pacman the credit that he deserves.

Plain jealousy and spite, if you ask me.

sorry, but there is not one poster here, even pinoy, that doesn't feel that you are ignorant and completely biased, therefore, this is my only response to your reply.

anyway, I give Pacquiao credit for what he has done. The guy is a machine of to whom there is no equal. I just feel that certain fans (like the idiot I quoted)
exaggerate his accomplishments due to an unhealthy amount of pride and prejudice.

It's also weird and downright dishonorable for fans to invent exotic words such as "washed up", "shot", "post prime", etc. to describe their boxing legends just so they can keep from giving credit to a great boxer like Pacquiao.

Anyway, no, that nickname is just ******. He just beat fighters who happen to be Mexicans. What I don't like is that more people are discrediting Pac's opponents rather than giving Pac credit. Also, I hate excuse makers (age). I remember the ones who were predicting an "upset" by Barrera over Pacquiao and how they were saying he was so focused and determined to avenge his loss in the press conference (which he was), and now they have to make excuses? ****ing amazing. And I'm pretty sure Barrera and Morales would hate to make these lame excuses that their fans are making.

If Marquez beats Pac in March, my only "excuse" as a Pac fan would be...well, it's because Marquez is just the better fighter.

Like I mentioned in another thread, you cant seriously say morales was at his best when he lost to Pac both times. In fact before the 2nd fight with Pac, Morales had lost 2 times in his last 3 fights. By the time he retired, he had lost 5 out of his 6 fight, in fact the only win he had was against Pac. The one win that Pac should get FULL credit for is the 1st Barrera fight, what a beatdown.

P.S. Pac is a great fighter and I think he is going to beat Marquez and probably would have beat Barrera at any point in his career, however I think he would have lost to prime Morales every time.
