not sure about that... I've seen Vanes sparr with Margarito and clearly there was no mismatch, very even sessions. I know sparr doesn't say it all but I'm telling you Margarito WOULD NOT destroy Vanes, count on that.Comment

No thanks, like you said.... sparring doesn't mean anything as to what would happen up in the ring with the smaller gloves and no headgear. Margarito would Ruin Vanes.... I think you can count on that more than Margarito NOT destroying Vanes.Comment
-
not a chance.. if Margarito was so capable of ruining he should have ruined Wiliams, apparantly he isn't all that great.Comment

LOLL no but still you know, I saw Margarito winning that against Williams comfortably and he came up real short and was dissapointing, therefore, we can't really sit here and praise him to be something all that great or the destroyer of quality prospects.
and sparr does say somethin bro, don't count it all out.Comment

LOL.. Again, we are not dis*****g the fact that Margarito lost... he lost alright (Though he actually put up a decent performance).... and I am not calling him a destroyer of quality prospects either...LOLL no but still you know, I saw Margarito winning that against Williams comfortably and he came up real short and was dissapointing, therefore, we can't really sit here and praise him to be something all that great or the destroyer of quality prospects.

What i am saying is Vanes is not ready for Margarito It'd be like feeding a baby to the wolves. I think that is simply logic.
So the fact that Margarito lost to williams is completely Irrelevant because Martirosyan is NOT Williams or even close. And I think you can admit that.Comment

Margarito would murder Vanes in two rounds,u dont have to be so biasedyou gotta be kidding me man... Vanes would give that Margarito of yours a good fight today.. your gonna tell me Chavez Jr. will KO him??
you are really under-estimating Vanes man, this is a guy that beat Berto in the amateurs to make the US Olympic team, I'm pretty damn sure he can go toe to toe with a hyped up Jr. with a padded record and not much else.
And for the fight,J C Chavez will be too much, ive watched alot of Vanes's fights, and he makes too many mistakes, like he doesnt jab,he headhunts alot and needs to settle down,he sometimes acts a bit too excited in there and bounces when his opponent comes foward,he carrys on doing that he will get hurt, hes already been downComment

what you watched of Vanes is old youtube fights im sure... he has come a long way from those earlier performace where I agree he was a head hunter and had no composure.Margarito would murder Vanes in two rounds,u dont have to be so biased

Vanes is working with Ronnie Shields now(former Holyfield trainer) in Houston, Texas and by the looks of it he will come into this Dec. 20 fight with complete different mentality and strength.
big wow he has been down once in his pro and amateur career(flash knockdown) where he got up, showed alot of heart and KOd his opponent in the same round.
What do you say about Chavez Jr. who clearlyyyyy lost a fight in Mexico but was given a gift draw just to preserve his undefeated record.
Vanes hasn't lost a single round as a pro yet, so don't count him out against anyone, especially not a soft Jr.Last edited by VanesBoxing; 12-03-2007, 05:47 PM.Comment
