predictably met by a chorus of boos from the crowd, who obviously favored Esquer's aggression (or perhaps just his being Mexican).
Geat read till this quote poped up.

The writer himself said, the crowd was displeased with the running/boxing Caldron was doing. So in reality they wern't going to cheer for him, but boo his performance when the cards were announced.

I think the writer has been reading to many hate threads here at boxingscene.

I'm very interested in seeing his career progress. I enjoyed watching his father box and would like to see him be successful as well.

He is definitely getting more recognition so a step up in competition is surely coming soon.

I'm feeling fooled yo they want to say that he's only facing cans because he didn't have an ametuer career but Bernard Hopkins did the same **** and by his 36th fight he was undisputed Middleweight champion of the world, now many of you guys may say "well not everybody is Bernard Hopkins", granted, but still yo Head-Hop isn't the only guy to do that and be successful, we are in an era of Boxing where you either put up or you shut up, why is it that at 36 fights Alfonso Gomez would be a STEP UP for Chavez Jr? Gomez who doesn't even have 20 wins yet has more than 1 notable name, he should be a tune up at this point, **** is whack yo I ain't saying Chavez Jr ain't got the tools, c'mon man that kid tall as a mother****er but whats the hold up? 100
crillz, whos your famous boxing father? Sounds like your a son of a former boxing champ, and you seem jealous of Jr.

Remember, you havn't paid one cent to see Jr. fight the fighters he's fought.

Hopkins was older when he turned pro and had an amature background as well as a prison boxing background. And it doesn't stop there, he first started at light heavyweight then DROPPED down to middleweight to pick on smaller fighters. Becoming a vegitarian to keep weight. Not everybody can do this, but if you're going to hate i wouldn't bring up Hopkins, i would use another example.

                Actually.. he's underrated. Close though.

Undefeated.. MASTERFUL boxer, GREAT defensive skills, and stepped up IMMEDIATELY JR> FLYWEIGHT and beat the recognized champion. Hard to overrate someone who does that.

This was the second fight I saw of Chavez' (can't remember the first opponent). I was relatively imperssed last time, and he delivered again. Granted there are some things to work on but he has potential. I suggest a mini tourney for Chavez' steps up in competition. Chavez/Gomez next and Karmazin/Kirkland. With the winners facing off of course. That right there makes a very nice contender for Forrest, Alcine, Spinks or whoever.

1st, so what you a fighter, good for you homie and much luck to you but just because you a fighter doesn't mean your eyes are clearer than mines, you act like just because I don't Box I ain't athletic, I don't have have to be a fighter to know what it takes, I live 2 buildings away from Edgar Santana homie I KNOW fighters, my father was raised around Jose Torres and was a renowned athlete himself, I know people who DON'T Box that would kick the living **** out of ones who DO so cut all that "I'm a fighter and I see the real ****" out because it holds you no weight..

2nd, you don't know **** about what I know, you have no clue about me or who I am so be easy with that ****, I DO know my Boxing, you act like I doubted him or something or said he can't get better, I just said he should have a notable name on his resume by now WHICH IS TRUE, even if it's a shot fighter he should have had someone to raise his stock and not just have his name and a padded record to do it with, I'll be satisfied if he fights Alfonso Gomez and I want to see this fight because Gomez been on a hot trail lately and Chavez can win, THATS WHAT I WANT, I want to see him win and be able to say to people "he beat ... and ..." when I'm talking about him but how can I vouch for someone whom hasn't shown me **** yet? he has potential but one thing is to have it and another is to use it..

3rd, I ain't black neither and I'm called a ***** everyday.. live with it. thinking just cuz you Box you know something more than me dogz that **** don't matter here, I KNOW fighters like I have told you, me and my father been watching Boxing for years and for half my whole life I been watching fights of ALL time, you might know how to throw dem hands a lil better than me but don't get it twisted I give fighters their PROPER due because I know what it is to have to work out HARD constantly, he ain't the only dude who went straight from the gym to the pro's so he shouldn't get patted on his shoulder just because he ain't got his ground game right, as long as Bernard Hopkins exists there is no excuse, the kid is big enough and has enough size to even out his lack of skills.. if you keep matching him against bull**** how is he ever supposed to get better? I ain't saying throw him against the best but c'mon man at least someone good.. can you point out anything wrong with that?

I know I came across pretty hostile but you did too, I ain't the one to be giving ignorance, I had my little episodes in the past on here but for the most part I try to keep **** respectful, hopefully you can see I ain't the NO knowledge fan you think I am, I know the sport and it's fighters and I recognize why you would feel that way but all I'm saying is he could have KO'ed even a journeyman who ain't that good, EVEN THAT, but something at the very least.. 100
