i totally tell that alot of you are not real fighters and have never stepped into the ring. there has to be an amatuer career, if not, then the road jr is takeing is the correct one. it don't really matter what other fighters have done just cause they started off faster and in the same prediciment as chavez. every fighter is diffrent. and now people starting to bash jr, for what? cause he's not fighting who you want? or are you just impatient? whatever the case is shut up already. if you don't have the knowledge of boxing or the insiders approach then you're just woofing the same boreing bull****.Comment

all I'm saying is you would think by now there would be at LEAST 1 notable name on his resume, washed up or not but someone to validate that this kid is the real deal.. so far there isn't, the best name on his resume to date is Grover Wiley dogz lets be real here, I ain't saying go fight Floyd Mayweather or Miguel Cotto but **** man at least a tough and durable journeyman.. it ain't hate it's just Ive have enough, I want to see him face a real opponent, I actually LIKE Jr as I have stated before, he has ALL the needed potential and size advantages to SHINE but the clock is ticking, at this rate by the time he retires he will have like 120 fights with only a handful of real challenges, thats all I'm saying yo I WANT to see him do well because as I have stated before I LIKE him but I think he BEEN ready for a step up, I'm just wondering whats the hold up..
I guess as long as he keeps winning it's all that matters, maybe I just have high hopes and high expectations in Jr but I'm just saying it would be absurd to see him at 40-0 without yet fighting someone good, it just would feel iffy yo because I think that once he beat Grover he was ready for a Tackie or a Mitchell, maybe even Lovemore ya dig but someone with a name, he can beat ALL 3 of those guys I named fairly well, he has good power and can fight it's just he's slumped in this pool of cans and I just want him to reach the potential I know he has already, it isn't beyond him to have to dig deep and win a fight, it can only help him and better him as a pro, sometimes I go off but at heart I like dude, good fighter with a great future but he's getting pushed along, that CAN backfire on him when he finally goes up against someone who's going to cold **** him harder than all 35 of his opponents at the same time.. 100Comment

I just watched the fight and it was the first time i saw Chavez Jr and have following to say:
1. This guy has definately that mexican fighter mentality.
2. This guy is flat footed, to flat footed and i hope they work on it. He looks good when the opponent stands in front of him but a skilled technical fighter would make Chavez look silly at this point.
3. I see potential in this guy but i understand why hes steping up the competition so slowly. If he really had no amateur fights thats the right thing to do. At this point Sanchez seemed to be a good opponent for him. He needs some time and work and i guess guys like crillz wont be happy about it.
4. He wont fight Baldomir next cause Baldomir retired after his last fight, at least he said so.Comment

coming from somebody who has his father in his avatar I ain't too surprised to read your hostility.. 1st and foremost you don't know **** from **** about what I know about Boxing, I ain't about to shut up just cuz YOU told me to ***** fall back with the bull****, you ain't got to say my name neither because who else in this thread is talking about Jr other than me? it ain't science..

hes only 21 yet you expect too much of him. They are a select few that at 21 have fought notable fighters on there records regardless of the number of fights his father was quite protected as well early on. I think it was much smarter for Chavez Jr to start fighting the Pros because he get the money and he learns how to fight in the pros from scratch instead of having to change his style moving from amateur to pro. He is only 21 and doesn't deserve a title shot especially at welter (i think he fights at welter) where the division has the likes of Hatton, Cotto, Mayweather, Williams and Cintron to name a few. To much pressure at the age he is to step up.Comment
