Calderon jabbing from southpaw stance. Esquer moves in, warned for elbowing. Calderon jabs, out of harms way before Esquer can get off his counter right. Esquer coming forward, Calderon covers up. Left hand by Calderon, swing and a miss by Esquer. Right hand by Esquer. Esquer misses with right uppercut, crowd chants "Me-Xi-Co". Calderon lands a right while in retreat mode, using every inch of the ring. Left by Calderon falls short, as does Esquer's left/right. Short jab by short Calderon. Left uppercut, right to body by Calderon (uppercut caught air). Calderon flicks a jab, discouraging Esquer from throwing a right. Calderon jabs, Esquer launches a right hand from his shoelaces

Round 2:
Mariachi music fills the air between rounds. Here we go. Calderon maintaining a tight guard, but offering no offense. Esquer throws a 1-2, both fall short. Calderon jabs to the body, comes back upstairs. Esquert throws a right to the body. Pawing left by Calderon, lands a follow up with far greater conviction. Esquer comes forward as crowd cheers him on. Right hand by Esquer. Overhand right misses for Esquer. Calderon keeping proper distance to frustrate Esquer, who misses with another from-the-canvas right hand. LEft by Calderon, Esquer misses with right, left. Pawing jab by Calderon. Right hand for Esquer partially blocked. Jab, left hand right uppercut for Calderon. Esquer comes forward, but not landing much, if anything. Left hand misses for Esquer,two right hands get through, Calderon retreats and avoids further punishment.Comment

They meet in the center of the ring. Calderon immediately establishes distance, brief clinch. Esquer lands a right, tries another but falls way short. Calderon clinches,crowd boos. Left uppercut by Calderon blocked. LEft, right, left for Calderon, right hand only one that landed. Left hand for Calderon, Esquer slightly leans back. Esquer goes to body, but can't corner Calderon, who slips out of harms way. Both fighters trade right hands. Esquer unloads along ropes, Calderon avoids most of it but nearly falls through the ropes in doing so. Flicking left, right by Calderon. Esquer lands to the body, and a right hand upstairs. Another clinch, and Calderon warned for holding behind the head. Esquer misses with wild overhand right. Calderon dancing, crowd no likey.

Round 4:
They barely meet in the center of the ring before Calderon moves backward. Calderon slaps to body. Esquer body shots blocked. Left hand for Calderon. And another (though very little behind it). Esquer misses a right along the ropes, fighters briefly tied up. Esquer paws with left. Wild overhand right misses by a mile. Calderon misses with jab, lands straight left and baby right hook. Same sequence five seconds lanter. Esquer lands a right, gets a charge out of the crowd. Calderon grazes with left, blocks incoming right to the body. Crowd once again cheering on Esquer, though to no avail. Calderon pushes a straight left. Esquer misses with two to the body, and two more upstairs. Calderon making Esquer look ****** with slick defense.

Calderon opens up a bit more to start the round, offering far less movement. Both fighters trade body shots after a brief clinch. Esquer trying to land on the inside, having no luck. Calderon pushes a left, misses with right uppercut. Right hook wraps around Esquer's head. Esquer lands right hand around Calderon's guard. Right jab by Calderon. Esquer lands left, Calderon moves to avoid a follow up. Right hook by Calderon, Esquer goes downstairs. Esquer pawing with jab. Calderon just short with left. Right hook by Calderon. Left by Calderon. Esquer continues to pursue, but Calderon remains too elusive.

Round 6:
They meet in the center of the ring. Esquer jabs, and then tries to play matador as Calderon goes on the attack (hell of a role reversal). Calderon offers a pitty-pat flurry. Right hand misses for Esquer who takes a right hook in return. Left hook upstairs and downstairs by Esquer, both bloccked. Right hand gets through for Esquer, and another. But no more as Calderon moves away. Esquer throws upstairs, all of it blocked. Right hand by Calderon, follow up falls short. Esquer pushes left, throws half-hearted right. Body shot by Esquer with some mean intentions. Left hook catches air. Calderon lands straight left, dances out of the way as Esquer looks to attack. Right hand misses for Esquer, crowd booing Calderon's defensive tactics. Fighters clinch, Esquer lands a shot on Calderon's ass, after the bell.
