Clark just kinda snuck into the ring, Alvarado's ring entrance far more eloborate, coming into Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones, Part II" (my all-time favorite rap jam)

Weird - for some reason they had the fighters come in 10 minutes before the fight was due to start.

      On we go:

      Mike Alvarado (18-0, 12KO) vs. Michael Clark (36-4, 17KO) - 10 rounds junior welterweight

      Round 1:
They meet in the center of the ring. Alvarado jabs, Clark responds with a right - and appeared to have injured his right hand. Clark hobbling around ring as action ensures, pain obviously overwhelming. Alvarado overshoots with jab, Clark ducks and clinches. Clark flipping back and forth from conventional to southpaw, but offering no offense as he's in full retreat mode. Alvarado throws right hand. Clark doing nothing, referee calls time. Crowd voices their displeasure... doctor looking at Clark, who's bouncing on one leg in the corner. Doctor asking Clark if he wants to continue, Clark looks to his corner. Fight is waved off.

Official time 1:27 of Round 1. Corner suspects Clark broke his right hand.

He will be if Top Rank gets their way. Unofficial word is, they want to see X-rays before issuing a paycheck. But you didn't hear that from me.

very strange....... and why is alvarado celebrating that....
i wouldn´t be happy to win a fight like that, because there was no fight at all.
i would have waved and go to my rival to check how is he doing, but not look happy and pose to the cameras :S....

                    Next fight:

                    12 Rounds - Linear/WBO junior flyweight championship:
Ivan Calderon (Champion, 29-0, 6KO, Guaynabo, PR)
vs. Juan Esquer (20-1-1, 15KO, Navajoa, Mexico)

Crowd behind Esquer big time, not very fond of boricuas apparently, LOL.
