Since Judah is out; hopefully Williams' people recognize that Quintana is not a big enough name for Paul and opt to make a fight with Mayorga. Whatever your opinion is for Riccardo, he generates publicity and will make the boxing match exciting whether it's a missmatch or not...

I say, get Riccardo Mayorga on the phone and forget about Quintana..

Zab has the speed and agility to use his reach against him, but we all know the Judah that fought Cotto would just get pummelled for 12 rounds straight by Williams. I think Zab should fight Quintana and Margarito after that. If he'll be able to beat them both I think he'll have the confidence to beat Williams.

I don't think Williams is a smart boxer or terrific puncher. The only thing he has going for him is his tall frame and his ability to keep on throwing. His worst nightmare is a slick counterpuncher (not meaning Judah, he's not really big on counterpunching). When that counterpuncher steps up I think he'll expose Williams.
His worst nightmare is an active bodypuncher. Is there such a guy at 147? Oh yeah, I forgot .................

Too risky? Paul Williams doesn't seem like the kind of boxer that skirts risk; besides, Williams has all the firepower, defensive skills, and heart to beat Mayorga, and beat him bad...

You serious? The same Mayorga who used to give people, TRINDAD even, free shots at his jaw? Now Williams has the "firepower?" Mayorga could keep his hands at his waists for twelve rounds and not get hurt by pillow-fisted Paul. Granted, Williams could avoid getting KO'd and win a decision against an old Mayorga. But, a younger Mayorga would have smoked him out.

When I meant "fire power," I meant Paul's tremendous punch output. And Williams is not as feather fisted as you think; he's no Malignaggi with 24 KOs to his name in 33 contests. I think Paul stops Mayorga by an accumulation of sharp crisp punches...

Who cares if Quintana's name is not "big enough"...I don't want to see Williams toy with a bum like Mayorga, yeah he talks a bunch of **** and is funny but he has no boxing skills. I don;t want to see him fight a guy he already beat in Margarito either.

I would like to see him fight Quintana or Clottey.

Mayorga is former lineal welterweight champ. I already admitted Williams would win, but Mayorga had a career that Williams can only dream of at this point.

For the record, Williams is feather-fisted!

He never ever hurt Margarito and the guy he fought before that was taking his biggest bombs continuously for 5-6 rounds without getting hurt or dropped I believe (I think the ref had to jump in)

His lack of power is ridiculous

Posters here make Williams' power sound like Pauli Malignaggi's; it's just not accurate. Out of 33 contests, Paul has 24 KOs...
