But, IMO it discredits a boxer to merely jump up and fight lesser fighters to claim just another of the many belts that are out there.

Oscar may have "transcended" any single weight division. But, the fact is that he never "transcended" Tszyu at 140. Never. Tszyu will go down as one of the great JRWWs. Oscar's not on that list.
Oscar has the greatest resume of any active fighter in the world. So I don't think he was trying to 'jump up and fight lesser fighters'. His resume is leagues better than anything Tzsyu has faced at 140.

And make no mistake- it's ALOT harder to be disadvantaged by weight, and still move up to fight great opposition.

Take a deep breath and stay on topic. We're talking about what Kostya used to be when he faced HAtton and what Oscar used to be when he faced Mayweather, and the outcomes of these fights.

Dios tried to discredit Kostya cause he lost to Vince but so what **** happens, problems occur. Look at Tyson, look at Lennox, look at Toney. tibery beat him to ****ing death, that's one of the thousand reasons he's slurring like a ******.

nah the point is, Oscar was not shot and still a great fighter. and once Oscar trains, he has a chance of beating anybody.

I don;t know man. Oscar can;t even cut the ring off and he was trying to bully Floyd, that was some pathetic exhibition on Oscar's part and he still made it close. Daym!

Castillo at least could cut the ring off, adn he got one victory out of their two matches unofficial as it is, it still stands

That sure wasn't what a thousand of you cats were saying shortly before the fight, and shortly afterwards. At that point it was 'Oscar is still fresh, he's been looking great.. blah, blah.."

Then after the fight, the robbery allegations started, and people kept saying how good he still looked. But of course in retrospect- he magically becomes that old guy that nobody expected to win in the first place. Lol.. typical ****.

                How do you suppose that?

                Definitely, not perhaps.

Julio Cesar Chavez + Miguel Angel Gonzalez >> anybody Tszyu has faced at 140 (even though Tszyu faced Gonzalez later).

He's definitely more healthy, not perhaps. He's even still active.

Irrelevant. De La Hoya is more accomplished overall and fought Floyd at 154.

                Still younger.

                I do

How would you figure that? I'd say Oscar's left hook beats Tszyu's right hand any day.

Of course Oscar still knocking out opponents at 154 while Tszyu couldn't even hurt Hatton or Vince Philips would argue against that.

Indicated by what, or are you just making a silly claim for the sake of disagreement?

Nonsense. Tszyu loses to JCC and JCC loses to De La Hoya.

Yes, to fight a much much better opponent in Pernell Whitaker.[/QUOTE]

                -----------
Tszyu also beat JCC and Hector Lopez and....well, many others. You missed that.

Tszyu was the first man in 30 years to unify the belts at 140. Oscar cannot make this claim. Tszyu definitely more accomplished at 140. No question.

You may say Oscar's left beats Tszyu's right, but I cannot agree with this at all. Tszyu dominated a division with that right.

Tszyu was one of the best counterpunchers ever in the JrWW division. That's how I can say that.

When Oscar let himself be stripped rather than fight Tszyu, Oscar did move up to fight Pernell Whitaker. An old and over the hill Pernell Whitaker. This was a business move pure and simple.

Of course Oscar has the best resume out of anybody...... But the best fighter(at the time they fought) floyd has fought was Castillo back in 2002.

You can find my earliest posts and see my prediction on Lfoyd vs Oscar.
I said Oscar is not a better boxer than floyd, hence he can;t outbox him. I said Oscar is not good at stalking and brawling, which he proved against Mayweather. and I called a close fight for Mayweather. Told all my friends not to waste their money and watch it cause it would be a bore they didn't listen. I was actualy dragged from my house to go to a bar and what that moronic fight
