Hatton beat a super over-the-hill Castillo and Mayweather's arm wasn't in good shape, so there is no cancelling out. Plus Hatton's trainer thought Floyd won the Castillo fight anyways, so you and your reactionary thread loses.

So, he was training for a 140 pound fight, changed to 147 5 weeks prior, and still came in heavy? What kind of logic is that? Tons of boxers out there come in under the maximum weight on purpose to give themselves the advantage of speed and mobility.

Hopkins made a habit of coming in 3-4 pounds under 160 for his fights at Middleweight (he was 157 against Tito and 156 against Oscar). Trinidad did the same. Floyd came in at 148 against Oscar for a 154-lb fight. It's really nothing new. So, don't blame the fact that Ricky came in fat to him moving UP in weight with only 5 weeks notice.

Ricky could've came in at 142 or 143 and had no problem.
