Cotto deserves the shot at the lineal title at 147; Williams is a few fights away from that. From that standpoint, it wouldn't look good if Floyd fought Williams. Also from the standpoint that Williams is **** and almost a guarantee to go straight downhill from here, it would be a bad choice.

From a style standpoint though, you could make the argument that Williams is as tough a fight for Floyd as Cotto is.

I just dont see Paul being that hard to walk through. Even though he has never been down, he has shown a SHAKY chin against some pretty weak competition.

If Floyd hits him right....who knows what could happen.

Hell no, Williams is the one I want to see him fight anyway. Cotto didn't impress me that much against Mosley, I didn't like the backward sprint he did at the 10 sec mark of the 12th, and Judah might have had him except for the low blows.

Cotto is a nightmare for Williams. Williams's people should avoid Cotto and try to cash out on Floyd or De La Hoya.

Instead of fighting the guy who lost to the guy he is ducking...

Fair points about Cotto but the same could be said about Williams in his fight with Margarito. He seemed to go into reverse gear halfway through the fight.

I dont see the problem with him fighting Williams instead of Cotto. IMHO I think Williams will present the biggest threat to Floyd because of his height and High punch output.

So to answer the question I would not discredit him for fighting Williams instead of Cotto.

If he had balls he has the talent and the underrated power to have TKO'd Baldomir(corner throws in the towel) and KO'ed ODLH.
PBF said he hurt his hand in the 5 or 6 round in the Baldomir fight. He won the fight the best way he with being hurt. I wholeheartedly agree that he probably could have KO'ed De la Hoya with more effort but I also still feel he won that fight easily.

Just a question I have for you do think PBF gave less than a full effort in the De la Hoya fight hopes of getting a rematch with De la Hoya to make even more money?

I am not saying thats what he did but I also don't put it past PBF to something like that because we all know he loves money and it makes sense to be honest.

Yeah but at least he finished strong enough. Even when stunned late he kept thowing punches.
