Well obviously, I am just saying that those two fights would put all the critics away, except for the real die-hard ones hell-bent on hating, at least I would think so, but I don't know.

I really can't think of any more names that he should fight if he beats Williams and Cotto.

I really want to see Floyd fight both of these guys.

I think he really can safely retire after these two fights if he wins them... thoughts?
Well, he wants to be an ATG. He needs to clean out and unify the division to be considered top 10 IMO. You guys can blab all you want about him being a so-called 5 division "champ", fact of the matter is this is no 5-6 Roberto Duran winning the middleweight title, its a 5-8 72" reach genetic freak that was made to hop weights and it is no problem for him. If he had balls he has the talent and the underrated power to have TKO'd Baldomir(corner throws in the towel) and KO'ed ODLH.

Please tell me your definition of unification does not require him to beat Cintron if he has already beaten Cotto and Williams...

It does. If we're lucky, Oscar de la Hoya will have KO'ed Cintron so we can have a rematch of that.

Hmmm... you know that what you are talking about doing has only been done once, right?

Not even Joe Calzaghe has done what you are talking about at 168... yes, the IBF title that Calzaghe doesn't have in his possession was one he vacated, but... the IBF title that Cintron has is the one Mayweather won from Judah, so...

So not only does he have to division hop, but he also has to Hopkins-like unify a division?

That is a damn hard sell man.

He says he wants to be ATG man, the creme de la creme of boxing. I'm saying he has to do this for top ten recognition. He hasnt done much AT ALL yet.

and in this age of superfights, he could probably unify the division in 3 fights after the hatton fight.

I'd prefer a fight with Cotto, however he'd be fighting a freak of nature in Williams. Hard to discredit that.

Yes, Williams has done little to earn such a fight.

Why. Finally you'd see Mayweather physically disadvantaged. Williams has a foot of reach on Floyd. That would be a great physical challenge. I agree, Williams does not deserve itn though.
