"My son is a disobedient kid, and he wants to be a gangster now," Mayweather Sr. said. "It's really sad. He could have been one of the all-time greats, but he's the most disliked guy in boxing now -- probably he's the most disliked guy in life, period. Nobody wants anything to do with him. Pretty soon, all these bodyguards and so-called friends will drop him faster than you can blink when there isn't anything left for them to leech off him."
yea...floyds "entourage" are on his **** for the moment..why?..cause they getting paid real good...and all this **** about floyd sr being a bad father? you ****in serious? if it wasn't for him would Floyd be were he is? c'mon now...If Floyd Jr is going to take that grudge to the grave, then who's the bigger man?
Tred, I am searching everywhere for the interview. I remember it very well. Ellerbe was introduced to Floyd through Jeff, actually. Ellerbe was known as Jeff put it as a "boxing groupie" and was always trying to get into the most popular camp at the time. Jeff said that Ellerbe was using him to get close to Floyd. He'd pay hiis own way to the fights etc. Jeff spoke to Floyd on Leonard's behalf and Floyd started to provide accomodations for Ellerbe. Eventually, even persuading Floyd to hire him. I am still looking. That was a good interview. Jeff painted a somewhat sketchy pic of Ellerbe. Ellerbe is a high paid sack rider too.
