Your question is a distraction. By boxingscene standards, Cotto ducked Mayweather by listening to Arum. Arum wanted to give Miguel 1 to 2 years to get ready, it says it plain as day from the horse' mouth, yet we're giving Cotto a year and a half, but have people like Wiley scrutinizing Floyd for a 2 month period while they decide if he fights Tszyu or Gatti, even though Tszyu showed no interest? If Mayweather ducked Tszyu, then Cotto and Hatton definitely ducked Floyd, which was the point, whether I mean it literally or not.
