Tell them you just want to work out. Get fit, hit the bags etc. If you like it then you can work from there. Once they see that you get fulfillment from the sport they'll be more supportive.

damn youd have some serious power. you should definitly join up or failing that you can get caught fighting and say you have been doing it for years without your parents knowing or start getting angry at ****** things so people will want you to channel your aggression.

noooooo......he's a "little" overweight. You have a lot of work to do. These two sports will conflict with each other. You can box but you'll have to give up football.

Do you have a lot of muscle mass or a lot of body fat? Either way one of them would have to go, or you'll gas really quickly. You're big, no doubt, but if you do start boxing then you'll want to get down to around 260 eventually.
There's a 300 lbs guy at my gym, and he's the most dangerous puncher in there. For about thirty seconds. But I'm helping him to work it out and he works really hard. He'll be a killer by the time we're done with him!
I personally think the best thing to do is to stay in school and box and train to stay fit and healthy, but if you have a deep love for it then I don't think there is much your parents can do.
