Its clear that after he fought Tito he was never the same..when he came back and fought Wilfredo Rivera..and Rivera droped him, I was like oh man...Thats not the same Vargas that beat Campas, Quartey and fought a hell of a fight againts a prime Tito..then the steroids added to it..they are a short term fix but you end up all messed up in the long run.

Simple. He's done. It happens quicker for some than others. Big fights, at a young age.. He didn't train in between fights like he should have, took punishment and just bad choices.

Essentially.. in a nutshell, he's shot.

That really didn't affect his career like some expected. He always had chin problems, Trinidad just showed us all that. He fought the same afterwards. If anything, De La Hoya did the most damage.

Only thing Trinidad may have affected in the long term.. Vargas' ability to procreate.

            Mentally ****ed him up.
When you take a beating like that you can't be the same fighter again.

he fought well against De La Hoya, and Mosley in the first fight. Mentally, Vargas is too egotistical to let an asskicking slow his roll. lol.. Funny, sad but true. I don't see that fight as the thing that slowed him down. To be quite honest with you. Didn't help, I'll grant you that.

i've been hard on vargas, but i feel bad when i know a guy who if he boxed like he use too would destroy a guy who's beaten him.

What do you think was the cause of Vargas's downfall? and give me more then "trinidad" because trinidad doesn't have any effect on vargas being slow as malasses
2 words, Tito Trinidad.. Vargas's equilibrium was never the same, his whole momentum was shattered and it became time for him to bounce back in a way that was too much of a calling and he couldn't step up, no doubt about it that the Vargas that fought Tito without feeling those bombs and losing so much of his will to fight would have given Oscar the business, he was more explosive yo he threw EVERYTHING at Tito and he got it thrown right back at him times 2 like a Roger Clemens fastball.. it's so real Vargas had to wear prescription glasses after that fight, he was THAT ****ed up.. he was wearing glasses in his interview later on that week as they showed in the replay but unlike Tito he HAD to wear them, he took some bombs and trust me fam there is NO coincidence in the fact that Vargas went downhill after that fight, he gained a few wins but the fights that really mattered he lost after showing shades of half the ***** he was, Vargas wouldn't have folded so easily, Shane was just the WRONG fight for him.. 100

Vargas was ****ed up, but at least he wasn't the one crying a river at the post press confrence. It was Vargas and only Vargas who HAS MADE FELIX TRINIDAD CRY AFTER A FIGHT, that in it self is redemption in a way.

Vargas and Shane fought a very competitive fight the first time. The second time he was just drained from weight.

And as some one mentined it wasn't the end of Vargas after the Trinidad fight, he still got to the top. But again he fought a few times then rushed into another top fighter and lost.

Once in a while we read posters saying so and so got Trinidads left overs, we'll after Vargas was done with Winky, Trinidad, Mosley, Taylor, Quartey and Hopkins had Vargas left overs which was Winky and only one fighter other then Vargas were able to get a win over Winky.

His problem is similiar to the one you have: his fat ass balloons up to about 300 pounds and can't lay off the Old Milwaukee, Tequilla and Taquitos.

Why was Cheato crying at the post fight press conference? Any details?
