wel frank might say no if he doesnt make enough. 2 mill seems a lot so he should but then i dont know how much frank usually makes from fights. 8 mill for calz is nice for him. i hope he takes it cuz i want thsi fight to happen.

frank better not be an ass and take it. 2 mill is nice.

The offer that was made was most likely 8 million, someone along the line deliberately or accidently turned that into 8 million sterling. Its less than Calzaghe made in the KEssler fight when the ammount that would be generated by Hopkins Calzaghe fight would be far more, bull**** offer.Hopkins management team are trying to find a way out of the fight whilst still letting Hopkins hold on to some marketing credibility at least in the States.

It aint true though is it? If it was true Joe would already be on the plane. The true "source" of this is Hopkins marketing team, putting figures out there that make it look like Joe is getting a rediculously large offer and still says no, when in reality no offer has, or will, be made. Hopkins doesnt want Joe. He has publically said on many occasions that Calzaghe is a bum, but he knows that when Joe takes him back to school, he will have no choice but to retire. Hopkins is a shot fighter anyway, when a fighter has to change their style to such an extent because the fitness isnt there, they should have given up a long time ago.

If Calzaghe really wants Hopkins , then he'll take the offer. The flip side is fighting in the the states. We all know Calzaghe is a household name in Europe, but fighting in the US, on PPV, Vs Hopkins, will will only increase his popularity by 10 fold. Think of this as an investment for Team Calzaghe. Time to man-up!

Calzaghe said he would have already signed the contract for 8 million, but he never received one from Golden Boy promotions.

                i thought 16m+2M was a generous offer.
Jez , GBP must be plan on milking this bigtime.

oscar got away with a similar deal with mayweather. see braggosio floyd
walking around with fists full of dollars while oscars laughing in the shadows with his 40m.

but when you think about it. does warren even have any pull stateside.
how much will calzaghe add to the draw?
besides bet theres room made for concessions from both sides still to come.
