Say they never fought in the frist place. Who would have believed that Mayorga wins not once but twice? Mayorga at 147 in 01-02 was striaght dangerous. He was hungry then, I think once Don King gave him a few million he really softend up. But that was then, if they fought today, I say its even money. But I think Forrest would run for 12 rounds.

he lost to him twice. Of course he wants to fight him while he is still fresh, mayorga is a shadow of what he used to be, Im sure forrest will win but i'll be rooting for mayorga. Thats just like saying, yeah he beat be twice but now that he is washed up i definently want him. good lord, if forrest loses 3 times to mayorga, that will ruin his legacy or wahts left of it.

They both used to hate each other with a passion!

Both would call each other out to fight the other, but! once Mayorga became Champion, Don King told Mayorga to be quiet about calling out Margarito. Why? . Back then Margarito wasn't labeled the "Most feared welterweight."

In fact, i think it was the first win over Forest where Mayorga says, "I want Margarito......" then gets cut off by King to be quiet.

King knew Margarito would beat Mayorga, but King also knew he can make more money with Mayorga the Champion if he fought other fighters but stayed away from Margarito.

Would have been one crazy ass fight, still can be. But who knows what will happen when Vargas gets his hands on Mayorga.

How this man can beat Mosley twice then lose twice to Mayorga is beyond me.
