Margarito fought Williams cause there was more money in that fight then there was in a Cotto fight at the time. More money Wililams or less money Cotto, and to add that Margarito didn't expect to lose.

All the **** you've been talking through out the day about Mexicans, me, xcarte, mayan sun, and everybody else who talk **** about Cotto but mainly your hate is towards Mexicans. We should all just leave nationality out of this one. Cotto is a wonderful fighter with a lot of tools and has a chance to fight in a mega-fight next, but I have the su****ion Mayweather will not fight him De La hoya will probably avoid him, and Hatton would cash in on DLH if he won. That leaves Margarito as a possible option and it would be an interesting and very entertaining fight. When It comes down to it Cotto's best 3 options might not want any part of him, and Margarito is an excellent alternative, even if not option number one.

when it comes to the fight, the styles make for a very explosive bout in which either guy could find themselves in difficulty. Cotto is a hell of a fighter and a lot more skilled than antonio, but antonio has the toughness to give Cotto hell and push him. I would LOVE to see it.
