I'm a fan of cotto and everyone should be... he can beat any fighter out there except for mayweather because styles make fights.

I agree. I see some folks picking Cotto to win against Floyd because of what they saw in the first Floyd-JLC fight.

Well, contrary to what the Cotto nutlovers think. JLC and Cotto have similarities, they're both good inside fighters, huge left hooks(Cotto's is better). But the similarities end there. I think JLC is more of a swarmer and Cotto is more of a counter-puncher, and this is why Floyd would win.

You have to put your head into Floyd's chest all night, but Cotto the natural counter-puncher that he is, is in someways like James Toney(not in style). meaning, A fighter must come to Cotto to make a fight out of it and Floyd won't do that,he'll stay on the outside and move all night to potshot. This is why Floyd wins!

Cotto takes advantage of his opponents misses and thats when he starts to dig his hooks. Floyd won't be there for his hooks. Cotto will have to be alot busier w/ his legs to really get to Floyd!

JLC constantly puts pressure, always moving forward on his opponents. Cotto, he's looking to make you miss, and inches his way in. You can't inch your way in against Floyd!

That's why they have to fight. Cotto is obviously full of suprises to most of you guys, so you never know.

Versy, Cotto is a great fighter and he can beat anyone out there except for floyd in my opinion. Cotto doesn't have the style to beat mayweather. Wouldn;t be a blow out fight cotto would be in it but he would loose a decision.

I think Cotto has proved that he's ready.Thats what YOU said. I didnt say anything about him beating,Floyd. You said he's not ready as if he hasnt fought anyone that's good. Would he lose? Most likely,but he's clearly ready to fight him.

Cotto deserves a shot at mayweather because he beat a lot of fighters and is ranked 2nd. But we have to be honest here.. people are picking him to ko mayweather and what not. Cotto doesn't have the style to beat pbf.. he is tailor made for Mayweather.

Cotto's whole career has been preparing for Floyd. They have always thrown him in there with good boxers, fast guys, to prepare for an eventual showdown. Im sure Arum has had that fight in mind for years, so yes skill wise Floyd has an advantage, but with Cotto's whole career headed towards Mayweather, Id have to say he would have a very good chance to win.
