Cotto was not "seriously hurt" in the 9th round. I just watched the fight again and I'm even more convinced now that he wasn't hurt at all. He was just backing up and defending himself from Mosely's all out attack when the ref jumped in. Observers naturally concluded that Cotto must have been hurt because he was backing up. Now we know he did this for the rest of the fight, and it worked to perfection. He won the exchanges and moved. It was an unexpected piece of ring generalship is what it was. And, it surprised Mosely.

I'm not blowing anything out of proportion..........If anyone is.....it's the people who scored 7 rounds of the fight to Cotto for his jab and "boxing ability" when he was being tagged on a consistent basis, switched styles and then started running in the late rounds essentially giving away the fight.

Also........When in the hell did I EVER use a low blow excuse or "back punch" and are you implying I thought Judah won the fight against Cotto? LMFAO.

      You should seriously sober up.
      1. Just to spite you I found my old little gem of a thread here. Who the **** are you to tell me what the **** I said and what I didn't?

Talk about anything boxing related here. Where the boxing discussion is always Non Stop!

Those are facts....wha...? Oh right, shut it.

      2. Cotto wasn't running (clear example of you sensationalizing again like you just LOVE to do now). He switched his style and CONTINUED to land hard, clean shots on Mosley throughout the championship rounds. Cotto hit Mosley cleanly more often than anyone I can remember outside of Wright I. That fight was, well, a landslide. This was a good competitive bout, but Cotto defended his title. I am implying that Cotto won the fight straight up. Sad that people can't give him credit for a hard fought victory against a guy that many thought would blow him out.

My thoughts exactly. We have seen Cotto badly hurt before and he wasn't "on the verge" or "out on his feet" like some have said he was.

People should watch the NDou and Ceballos fights. Cotto did the same thing against them that he did against Shane in 9-12. Move, stop on the ropes, counter punch, continue.

I think people see him back away and assume he is hurt, when he's really boxing.

Where are you watching this, Wiley?

Did you record it at home or download it?

I wanna watch this again right now.

Just watched the round again. Mosley landed his best punch of the fight, stagered Cotto, Cotto slides across the ropes, the ref jumps in as Mosley chases after him.

Mosley caught him perfectly on the point of the chin with a beautiful right hand.

You admit that Cotto was nowhere near on the verge of getting stopped though right?

I recorded it on my DVR.....great little piece of technology there.

Not from that punch, but he was in bad enough condition that if Shane connected with the right hand he was coming in with before the ref pulled him off it might have been lights out. Cotto bouncing off the ropes, Mosley coming forward. Mosley got ****ed out a serious opportunity.

Yup... Cotto fought a tactical fight. He proved to everyone that he can box too and not just slug it out and apply pressure.

I thought the normal Cotto was going to come out and **** at the body all night. I mean he landed some good body shots, just not that much.

I need to watch the fight again though...
