I agree. You can't take anything away from Cotto's win or him as a fighter. Judah & Mosley in back to back fights. Most other fighters would have had a tune up or a long break.
Both of these fights were hight risk fights for the guy. I can't believe people are giving him **** for his win. Cotto is good for boxing.

First off all I made this thread to talk about Cottos chin, the one I have always thought people have been over critical, and now with a good puncher on the other side of the ring (mosley) and several clean right hand was tested and I thought came out with good results. cotto showed a solid chin tonight and the versatility that many said he lacked. he fought well inside, at range, moving backward, coming forward. he showed a strong jab, great right hand counter and lead, uppercuts, left hand...

what a performance by both fighters. this seems to be the only thread which doesn't contain a bone head statement yet so i'll post here.

Mosley was courageous I guess, but that was to be expected..

I honestly beleive that he shown a weak chin in some fights at 140 becuase he was killing himself to make the weight and beleive me that does have an effect on a fighters ability to take a shot.

pretty impressive to see an older fighter stand in with cotto like that, especially considering how highly i regard cotto. he (shane) gave a great performance. he took a lot of brutal shots, found a way to virtually nullify cotto's body attack, and he was able to implement his own offense against a hungry young fighter.

mosley deserves credit for holding his own through the first 6 rounds alone. hey that rhymes.
