That seems kind of strange that it is labled a different style then, considering they fight exactly the same way.

Thank you though, I will be able to not talk out of my ass the next time I use the phrase "boxer puncher".
    Pretty much.

Pure boxers are generally considered much slicker and better boxers but a good boxer puncher > boxer because they have the skill to contend with them.

By the way, go on you tube and watch some Terry Norris fights. Let me know what you think about him.

Or another way to think about it is....a skilled boxer that can knock you out.

Haha, that is two nights in a row that I failed to see something incredibly obvious.

Last night - WHY ON EARTH WOULD ESPN SHOW A FIGHTER'S FIGHTS WHO IS FIGHINT THIS WEEKEND ON HBO?!?

            Tonight - So... what's a boxer puncher?

            I should be ashamed.

You're new to the sport and you have admitted this so no worries.

Most of the guys here dont know the sport half as well as you yet they are twice as opinionated.

So you're good in my book man!!!

Hattons not a boxer hes a brawler, so he'll lose. Thats why mayweather easily took that fight, he only takes the ones he knows will not be a serious challenge to him

                    Thanks guy!

Upon further reflection, I think that boxer puncher is the best style against Mayweather, just because the jab has to be able to back Floyd up in order to keep off of them.

Forrest-Mayweather would have been a great fight, if it could have taken place at 140... where Mayweather still had a lot more power on his shots than he does now at 147. He still doesn't have terrible power, but it's not exactly a knockout that is the first priority for an opponent to worry about.

Hatton can and does "brawl." Sometimes brawling can be effective. Calzaghe does it when he thinks it's necessary. But, Hatton is not a "brawler" if you're using that term to distinguish him from being classified as a "boxer." Hatton is a boxer-puncher. He's skilled. You either haven't seen enough of his fights, you're generally ignorant, or you're a novice to the sport. I'll respectfully assume that you haven't seen much Hatton, since that seems to be a common affliction here.
