what about you, do you box?

and honestly man really the only people picking cotto to win is because they are puertorican ... or a die hard cotto fan ... this fight is hands down a bad style match up for cotto however you look at it.

    cotto has weak defense...

cotto is slow as hell ....

and cotto has short arms ...

lol and people think cotto will win ...hahahahahahahaha

shane has been very focused for this fight....never seen him this focused ....he is going to destroy cotto
Good to see a smart enough dude realizing that a natural 190 pounder is stronger than a blown up 190 pounder.

Weak hands, that's a problem too many people have to deal with. Even more in the next generations, as there's no physical work anymore.

Yeah, I box actively. Train each and every day, trying my very best to murder those across the ring

im thinking is this will be a tough fight for cotto, style wise its not in cotto favor, but these are the kind of fights you have to take if you want to be great fighter!

the best way to beat any fighter is with a good jab. is it any coincidence that shanes losses were to fighters with really good jabs and that the first fight with de la hoya turn in his favor around the 6th round because de la hoya got tired has usually and stop being effective with the jab (and for that matter the mayweather fight has well)

then you have the second fight that i thought de la hoya won and he control the fight with his jab (this is the fight that shane was on the juice)

so if cotto can stick that jab in shanes face he has a good chance to win the fight. not a great chance.

hey im puerto rican and im going to root for cotto
        1. he is my country men = pride
        2. i like the fact that his fights are entertaining

hey im also from philly and i love the eagles even tough we stink right now im going to root for them=pride

... the only ONE two things I will give Cotto Credit for is his ability to get hurt and ableness to come back (which shane has demonstrated against forest but although he didnt win . he was knock down 3 times and managed to finish the fight)

mosley jab will look better and he will beat cotto to the punch ... what the hell does Cotto have besides heart and determination ??? nothin spectacular ... im sick of people brining up body shots n **** like cotto is the king of that ...

Zab juda took many body shots from floyd and zab was hurt as well...

mayweather and shane both have amazing ab muscles that able them to take body punishment ...

Cotto is slow as hell man ... no speed at all (well compared to shane at least) ... Mosley has the reach advantgage ...better chin ... better combinations ...

Just for the record this will be a one sided ass slaying ...

and remember you heard it here first.

          shane by 10rd TKO
          that is kinda funny...

Cotto is much faster than people give him credit for and I believe Shane will be very suprised by Cotto's speed. That being said I still believe the Sugar man will pull out a victory.

Yea, but Zab doesnt actually have much of a jab, he kind of just flciks it out there, more to kind of distract people so he can throw the left hand or right hook.

regardless, I think the jab can be a very ig weapon for Cotto. Mosley will have to concentrate to keep Cotto away, so that he doesnt get on the inside, where he will do his most work. If Cotto is jabbing while trying to get inside, its a lot to worry about all at once, and usually one of them will end up giving for a little while...Cotto will get some jabs in, or he will be able to get on the inside

most of the opinions on miguel cotto are paradoxical.he's got underrated hand speed, and boxing ability, but in the eyes of detractors he's just a body punching brawler with out a chin,in my opinion theirs is truth to all.you haters really need to stop under estimating these fighters, they are after all profesionals.

But if the situation calls for it he can throw a pretty stiff jab. In his losses, he just happened to be fighting big, skillful men who were excellent jabbers. In most cases, if a little man with a good jab fights a big man with a jab that is as good or better than his opponent's, the bigger man will most likely win the battle of jabs. Age, experience, and/or opposing fighting stances (southpaw vs conventional), if I can recall correctly, might provide exceptions to that rule.
