    Like I say, seldom is he troubled.

    Cotto on the other hand has been troubled by anyone he's ever faced with a punch.

      Oh he was definitely troubled in that last round, there's no question. But troubled once in a fight with a disruptive training camp and a whole host of personal problems floating around in the background, I think it's safe to rank Hatton's chin higher than Cotto's.

        True... But due to the fact he got rocked badly by a non puncher, do you still rate his chin much better than Cotto's? That was Ricky's first time vs the big boys, let's not forget that Urango fight as well, he didn't recover so quickly on that one after the body shot. Would be interesting to see him against Cotto.

          Hatton is better but its very close... Hatton faced better competition as you know.

          Both of them are the best body punchers in boxing at the moment.

          Hatton is faster on his feet and generally quicker than Cotto but Cotto has more power than Hatton.

          Speed = Hatton

          Chin = Hatton

          Jab = Cotto

          Combo's = Cotto

          Both of them can Box as well as well as use Any Tactics in fights to come out on top.

          Hatton throws more punches and throws from all angles sometimes from awkward angels while Cotto is more predictable.

            Cotto is shaky in the chin department while Hatton has very rarely been troubled. Having said that almost everyone Cotto has fought have been top young contenders. I think he's probably beaten more undefeated young fighters than any other current boxer.
            the combined record of miguel cotto's opponents at the time of there fight is

              Cotto definitely has the potential to cause Hatton problems with body shots but obviously Hatton would be more wary of this against Cotto and as a renowned body puncher himself it would certainly be something that would be taken into account in his preparation for such a fight.

                I am not one of these people who is in the camp that says Hatton got rocked badly. It looked bad at the time but if he was rocked badly he would have been clinging on for the rest of the round and that just wasn't what I saw in front of me.

                  Hatton got caught once by Urango and came back with his best round of the fight in the next round. I don't count that as being troubled. Cotto has never shown any weakness to the body, but he's never really been hit to the body and certainly not by someone who is as big a body puncher as Ricky.

                    He really got caught more than once and that's when he really turned on the clinching. Urango was just too slow getting shots off and coulnd't deal with the inside fighting, then again, Urango is nothing special. We're about to see how solid is Cotto standing body punches, if there's someone out there to really test him at WW is Mosley more than Ricky.

                      His condition helped him recover, Collazo was just too damn tired to finish him.
