Hopkins wasn't as imposing as Quartey would be. And Hopkins jab is/was nothing like Quartey's jab. Quartey's jab was a power punch that could split guards & mark your face the hell up. And at Welter he was so much physically stronger than most that he was imposing. He had the strength to put Tito on the back foot & if you back Tito up you can beat him.

1 that was hopkins prime as an overall fighter,2 the way to beat tito is not to pressure him,is by boxing, its his achilles heel, not coming forward jab or no jab period, fact is he gets near tito tito's gonna hit him back.

Whether he was prime or not that's not the point & yes he was outboxed. And Tito can't fight going backwards; that's a fact. His whole offense is predicated on moving foward which is something he wouldn't be able to do on a consistent basis against a prime Quartey. He'd be eating so many jabs that he wouldn't be able to set his feet to land anything significant.

they both would be pressing forward,so it's tito's power at welter over quarteys jab,i see tito duck a jab like did vs vargas and landing the left hook

If it was that easy to counter Quartey's powerful & FAST jab he would've been KO'ed a LONG time ago. Quartey stops Tito or wins a lopsided decision.
