We will findout alot about Taylor in the rematch, either he will rebound like some of the all time greats or he will not be the same.

Taylor always fights just watch all of his fights, it's not his fault he fought defensive fighters like Hopkins, Wright and Spinks.

              Yeah it's probably a 9. It's solid.

I don't see him ever getting knocked out.

I have been saying for years that the Blow's chin was iron, but you get the odd **** telling you - "But Byron Mitchell put him on his arse"

Ever heard of being off balance?

His chin isn't a 10 though - that's reserved for freaks of nature - men who seem as if they cannot be hurt and have faced monstrous punchers. The likes of: Chuvalo, La Motta and Hagler are tens - Calzaghe is a solid 8.5 or 9.

It's a proven 8. We'll never know if it's higher for the simple reason there isn't a fighter out there who could test it that consistently to see.

I voted 8, but have no issue whatsoever with anyone who says 9. It's somewhere between the two.

To whoever posted it earlier (my apologies for forgetting and I'm too lazy to scan back), interesting note on the Salem fight. I remember watching the fight online, and thinking that Joe was merely going through the motions in that fight. Totally forgot about his out-the-ring troubles.

What shouldn't happen, though, is people saying Joe has an all-time chin just because he did what he did while taking Kessler's shots. Kessler is still the 2nd best SMW in the world, no doubt. But punching bag Librado Andrade never threatened to hit the deck, yet went life and death with Yusef Mack.

Anyway, somewhere between 8-9 sounds about right.

I would consider it better than a 8.5. Taking a punch is not the only thing when it comes to having a chin IMO. It's also about recovering from a powerful punch that really stung. From what i've seen from Calzaghe, he takes a tremendous punch, and when he is hurt he recovers very quickly. I've even seen him do a little jump or something to that effect to get his legs back, right after he got hit hard. He knows what he's doing even when stunned. A very intelligent fighter.
                      Since I think it's better than an 8.5 I vote for 9.
