Giving him a 10 defies reason I think. Andrade showed what a '10' chin looks like vs Kessler, taking flush shot after flush shot...hundreds of times.

Calzaghe did not have to deal with that. His defense is very good, but he can and has been hurt. A '10' chin has to be reserved for the very best...guys like Andrade, Toney, Foreman, Gavilan, Hopkins, etc.

Calzaghe has a very good chin, but not an elite, I-can-take-your-best-shot-on-purpose-and-laugh-at-you type of chin.

I gave him an eight. Very impressive, but he can be stunned, as he's been down and he did respect Kesslers power. He can take a good shot, though.

Not, Baldy level, but it's a good chin.

Nobody can take that kind of punch from a good puncher.
Kessler doesn't really hit that hard.
I know a fighter who knocked Kessler out in sparring a few years ago, forcing Kessler to take a 6 month lay-off.
He said Kessler isn't that powerful. He's good at what he does, but by no means a "great" fighter or anything even close to that.

The fighter was Anders Styve from Norway, who was rated nr.3 in the world in the AM's, and was robbed against Oleg Zaitov in the European championship.

Gave him a 8 for being KDed twice but his freakin recovery is super inhuman. Goes on to KO Mitchel in the same round he just got KDed from. Yeah he was stunned from Kessler but immediately fired back. The man is damn good. I will never pick against him, Bernard or not. I love B-Hop but Joe just ****ing keeps surprising me. Every fight I see of him.

How do you rate that chin, 5 being average, 10 being perfection. I haven't gone all the way down to 1 (for an Audley Harrison chin) because that's clearly ridiculous, but I have dropped to a 4 for those that wish to suggest it's below average.

                Rate that beard!
Audley has a good chin, its just that Danny hit too hard, and Sprott cheated by being electrocuted from a wall socket giving him God like force in his hand.

Even a brick wall would have gone down from that punch. and Fort Knox(yanks bank) would have crumbled.

On topic, I would say Joe is a good 8. But his heart would get him knocked out as he likes to go to war.

And i agree its not like Audleys chin...
