Up and comers huh. Well Boytsov was being handled by Ondrej Pala when the fight was suddenly stopped due to a minor cut below the eye. Pala was walking through his punches and taking control of the fight, the crowd threw beers and everything else into the ring in disgust (and they were a pro-Boytsov crowd). Chambers is better than people think but not as good as he thinks. Povetkin will surprise many and isn't the man I tab to beat Wlad, but Wlad isn't the most indestructible force ever as he is being tabbed to be these days. I will delcare until I'm horse or Chagaev loses that Ruslan is the man to bring Wlad down. Speaking of Chagaev, he has had Hepatitis for years, we've known about it. A lot of people have known about it, the most dangerous thing for him in the ring is his poor perifferal vision he has on seeing shots coming from beneath (I.E. uppercuts). Watch the fight with Ruiz, that was the punch he had the most success with. I feel bad too, because there were a group of us one day sitting around lunch in NYC talking boxing and we came about the Eastern Euro heavies. So we spoke of their weaknesses and of course Chagaev's came about. Well one of the guys was a second for Ruiz and they implemented that as their focal point of the gameplan. I like Chagaev a lot and don't like Ruiz. I was a little peeved, but thats boxing. Anyways, Tony Thompson. its too bad about him, he's too little reward and way too much risk. Tony fights at a nice distance and works combos well to the bosy. His fight with Timur was boring but his fight with Luan was a clinic of how to beat a typical Euro fighter. Tony needs to fight some up and comer like TJ Wilson to give him some cred and hype him up a bit (but it would be ****** to risk his mandatory rating.) Arreola has his flaws yes, but he is determined to win and pressures well, its hard for heavies to not cover up and counter when under that much distress. Arreola and Mike Mollo fight similar styles and a fight between them would go a long ways in telling us who really is a contender in the division. Travis Walker cannot be written off after a fluke loss to TJ Wilson, but I don't believe he's a world beater. JD Chapman may be my boy, but he needs to step up soon. its not like we're not working on it. I've tried getting guys like Sherman Williams and Leo Nolan for some time and Carl Davis Drummond, George Garcia have pulled out of fights with him. He's getting a bit fat right now and needs to do some road work. There is a December Versus date we had for him but he doesn't want to fight until after the holidays. Bermane Stiverne has had some vicious knockouts, so we'll see how he overcomes his loss Demetrice King. And Derrick Rossy; I really liked his workrate against Eddie Chambers, he just needs to learn how to be more effecient with his punches and learn some head movement and subtle shoulder rolls to avoid counters.

may I ask, what is your relation to Stevie Johnston. Haven't see a lot of Stevie's fans around lately so its a surprise to see one on here.

No connection just a big fan. I think people never gave him the credit he desirved. He beat castillo. I became an instant fan the second he layed out mitchel in his 14th fight I think it was. Plus his nick name is great and very true.

He's a nice guy. A friend of mine is his matchmaker temming from his days with Silverhawk. Granted techinically Stevie is still with Silverhawk, but don't expect much of them. They are folding, but Al is still getting Stevie fights. I got to sit and talk with Stevie at length once last January when he fought here in Orlando. Like I said a nice guy.

Tony Thompson I think could bring down Wlad since he'll be fighting Wlad before Chagaev. Thompson has never been hurt in a fight and has a nice quick jab, hopefully has some good head movement against Wlad but dude is getting old. I was at his Guinn fight in San Jo and he looked like he was forty. Povetkin and Chambers I'll say the loser of the fight still is a force within the division in years to come, I think Eddie will come out with a win and it definitely will be a great fight.

Thompson has never faced a person with Wlads power. If they fight it should be good thompson does have nice skill and a really solid jab and reach. His power may be a little underated. He hasn't been in the game that long and is still learning but he is really solid. I would pick him to beat a few of the contenders like sergi valuev and ibragimov.

HW is one of the best divisions in boxing.
Are you on drugs, Gerinomo? The hw's have stunk up the joint for the past several years and have been out done on every level by the lower weight divisions. 2007's been a great year for boxing; too bad the hw's had nothing to do with it...
