I dont like Joe, his style is horrible - a messy southpaw who slaps like ****! Even the way he drops his hands to showboat looks awkward and ****** BUT the guy is SO FAST, Slaps pretty Hard, has a huge heart, Rock chin and Unbelievable Stamina - The Guys ****in good!
To say he's shot is Nuts That was 1of the best wins of his career if not THE Best!

Stop posting BULL**** because I'm sick of reading it!!!

Go and watch either Castillo or Gatti's last fight. That's what a shot fighter looks like. What Joe did on Saturday was pure class. And I'm not even a Calzaghe fan. Which makes me think even more that you're a complete prick who is talking out of his ass!
Spot on. Calzaghe is far from shot. In fact most boxers will never achieve that amount of ability, style, fitness and sharpness.

isnt his performance something to do with him struggling to make 168lbs

At 175lbs would we see a Smokin Joe??

No i don't agree at all. I think he maight just have been fighting carfully because of the class openent he was facing. and hey, he won didn't he, by far on the cards so who cares what he did to win.

JuyJuy is right though. years back Calzaghe was KNOCKING PEOPLE OUT.. now i think hes changed his style to suite his injured left hand.

I'm not sure what others are seeing, I saw a near-shot fighter making hard work of it against another somewhat average challenger

Calzaghe beat a better boxer than Mikkel Kessler in better fashion seven years ago (in Richie Woodhall)
that was my first time seeing this guy fight ever....and I'm a fan, and if I'm a fan of an old and worn fighter that impressed me, then that makes him all the more special....

                      good work zag!
