Calzaghe does not impress me at all.

calzaghe style of fight is so boring he ****s me. i enjoyed the way kessler hit him in the early rounds shows how vulnerable he is to a good style boxer. the likes of leonard or hagler would have exposed calzaghe because of their fitness. kessler lost his breath too early thats why he didnt throw any punches but any of the older legends like hagler leonard and jones jnr in his prime would expose and knock calzaghe silly.as a boxing fan im not satisfied with that performance.

why because calzaghe has a **** style i know if bernard hopkins was in his prime he would make calzaghe look ordinary his style is just there to be hit. calzaghe just throw those slaps and overwhelmes opposition but kessler showed early how easy he is to hit. trust me anyone with good speed would expose calzaghe. Mundine i think if was more agressive would show calzaghe for what he is. i just wana see him knocked out.

I dont know how anyone could not be impressed with Calzaghe. I picked Kessler to beat him, but Joe was just the much better fighter. And Kessler is damn good in his own right, and it shows how special Joe is to be able to make such a good fighter look so bad (round 6 on anyways.) I know what you mean about Joe slapping with his punches, but it must hurt worse then it looks or else Kessler would have been all over him the whole fight. Joe may look like he punches with little soft open handed slaps, but looks dont tell the story. The man is just a bad mother ****er. He isnt one of my favorite fighters, but you cant deny the mans talent. Im glad he is finally getting the credit he deserves. Im amazed with some of the shots he was able to take as well. Its hard to beat a man who can take your best shot and throw 100+ a round of his own back at you.

dont cry buddy its only a forum im entitled to my opinion. yeh calzaghe beat kessler did well to regroup but his style is annoying he doesnt satisfie me as a boxing fan. i was watching the fight with my brothers who are casual fight fans and they couldnt what the fuss was about. theyve seen jones jr hopkins hagler leonard hearns ali tyson holyfield fights and they enjoyed their styles and talent calzaghe proved nothing with his style. im sure causal fans will enjoy cotto and mosley fight over any calzaghe fight because styles make fights and calzaghe has no style

The funny thing is I've seen those fighters too and theres no way you can say they all have styles and talent and that Calzaghe doesn't and that he has proved nothing with his styles. If anything he has more then one style and can adapt and change styles better then most fighters.

yeh but his style is not impressive i gurantee you is his work rate not style and punches that make him win. nothing about his style is appealing. i gurantee you all upcomming boxers who want to replicate a boxer defanately wont want to be like calzaghe no one wants to look like a ***** slapper. kessler punches looked awesome great style movement and punches.

Hopkins doesn't look good with his styles but he wins. Your not gonna find many, if any fighters at supermiddle or lightheavy with fast hands to match Joe. Kessler had the perfect style to "expose" Calz but it just isn't gonna happen because you can't expose a fighter of his caliber because there is nothing to expose. You might not like the way he throws his punches and he might not always throw hard punches but calling him a slapper is getting old, that should have ended after the Lacy fight. Not liking his punching style is different then having a ****ty style.

boxers trainers writers have to say that because his winning not because they enjoy his style. i believe he is theres to be exposed as kessler showed in the first 4 rounds. any legend in their prime would expose him. i congratulate him for winning his fight but it wasnt impressive kessler lost his breath and calzaghe had faster hands. but his style and punches are not impressive what so ever.
