Why is everyone acting like Calzaghe is so good?

basically if you saw lennox get ko'd by raqman in their first fight you wouldn't think anything of him too then. it's just a matter of watch all his fights.

No because before that he already had beaten better comp.than Calzaghe.Look I am not talking **** about the guy,all I am saying is I personally am not impressed with the way he fights.I will take your advice though and watch more of his fights.

When you're having trouble believing what you're seeing what in front of you or are questioning yourself when it comes to assessing a fighter like Joe Calzaghe just break it down and see what you have (and these are the things that stuck out most about Joe to me);

Calzaghe =

great freaking chin (Kess has great power and Joe ate up his best punches)

above average speed (great lateral movement side to side and to and fro)

great ring intelligence (notice how he brawled, then boxed, then brawled a bit and siwtched it up? That's the sign of a very intelligent fighter)

decent to good power (he has stinging power to his punches, more than enough to make Kessler think twice)

extraordinary will to win and will to impose himself (he simply could've caved in after having Kessler crash those uppercuts against his face, but he just seemed to find another level when he needed it)

These qualities to me are undeniable in what I saw last night and check my sigs and post, I ardently disliked Calzaghe, but the man is a great fighter and here is the thing about him that you questioners might not have noticed, especially those in the USA like me that our fellow British fans have been trying to tell us all along. JOE IS GREATER THAN THE SUM OF HIS PARTS.
