Why is everyone acting like Calzaghe is so good?

I honestly have to agree with you.Yesterday was the first time I saw him fight,and honestly I am not impressed at all.I'm not hating on him,he is a very good champ but nothing out of the ordinary.I don't understand why everybody says he is a great boxer and all this,he's sloppy,doesn't have any boxing skills,and has regular power.I honestly thought he was going to be something spectacular the way evrybody talks about him,but I just wasn't impressed.I don't know maybe I missed something.

Why,cuz I am judging him on one fight?I'm sorry but I am not going to judge him on fights that I have not seen.You can say that he looked great in other fights but I am going to go with the one I've seen.The first impression is the one that matters.L.O.LSeriously though where would you rank yesterdays performance on Calzaghe's best performances?Any ways, like I said he is in my opinion a very good fighter but not extraordinary like some people are trying to make it seem.I just don't see it.

I thought Kessler could have pressed more after he rocked Zags in the 4th with those uppercuts.
But he didn't.
And then Zags did what champs do.
He switched upped, and went to the body, and hurt Kessler.
Calzaghe proved himself to me last night. As did Kessler.

I think he can easily beat hopkins as hop does not have much power anymore. hops is a counter puncher. Kessler is also a solid counter puncher as well though he is not in the same league as bhop we saw how well calzague can avoid counters. Hopkins does move better than kessler but joe will bring it to hops and i think hops will not be able to land very many clean shots on joe and joe will back him up all night. if bernard fights like he did agiant tarver it will be a really intersting fight. I think joe will be to much for hop and win a close decision. Everyone says joe has never fought away from britian and why should he, he is the biggest drawing active fighter. To through it back how come none of best american fighters will fight him in britain were the would make more money if they could get a portion of the gate. The truth is no one wants to fight joe possibly because of judging. I thinks thats crap its england not germany and the english judges have been fairly decent to forienge fighters of late.

This thread is a joke. Calzaghes display yesterday was close to perfect. His unorthodox hand speed is simply amazing. He is near impossible to fight. You guys are denying the obvious. Open your eyes.

Calzaghe simply outclassed him. Calzaghe is a class above anything out there at the moment. He is like Roy Jones at his peak and im being honest now.
