a beautifully shot, wonderfully acted, depressing movie.

but take the fight scenes with a grain of salt.

lamotta was not a big puncher and not a skilless punching bag either.

you can look forward to one of the greatest movies of all time, and some laughably outdated fight scenes. lol

Its an awsome movie though, really good character development and everything like that.

Sounds good. I take it the fight scenes are poor then?

jake went to see the film at the theatre with vicki. they stayed friends long after they split up.

jake was not happy and asked her if he was that bad in real life. she said, "no, you were worse".

judging by the book, she was right.

jake was an angel in the film compared to some of the things he admitted to doing in his bio.

Best boxing movie of all time hands down. De Niro and Pesci are brilliant. My two favourite quotes. "You ****in my wife", "he ain't pretty no more", LOL.

de niro broke pesci's rib while filming a sparring scene for the movie.

scorsese left it in the film.
