    Agreed.

No excuses apply in boxing. If your hands break or you get a cut (legally) then your body is not as strong as opponent therefore is matters little if you are the better fighter even morally.

Obviously I see Mr Soprano's point and agree in principal but its more like hard luck than who deserved what.

boxing is more than just technical skills and winning rounds.

it is also about endurance and durability.

brittley groupies can't comprehend that, but reasonable fans can.

Keep in mind, Lacy had the same injury as Vitali. Difference is, Lacy got it in the 2nd round and went the distance, Vitali got it in the 10th and couldnt make it.
          Lacy is one tough mother****er.
although I really dont know if Vitali's injury was worse. Ive never really heard how severe the injury was.

The real difference is you dont know how bad the difference was.
Lacy since his injury has done ****.
Klitchko followed up his fight with an impressive fight vs Lewis.

                Which was the smarter choice?

Don't you see that I'm not denying that it's a loss? I AM SAYING THAT IT IS A LOSS, what I am also saying that HOWEVER that it does not mean that the other guy beat you.

Wlad gassed out against Brewster and lost? Can anyone deny it???
However... Because he has a W on his record, it does not mean that Lamon is a better fighter. In fact, Wlad will beat him 10 out of 10 times in a rematch.

So yes, there are two type of losses.

1 - The winner is clearly better than you
                  2 - It's just not your day. But it's still a loss

                    BTW,

Instead of questioning Vitali's loss, you should have questioned if Byrd win means he is a better fighter.

And I assure you, responses would have been very different

i can tell u one thing.

byrd may not be thought of as the better heavyweight, but he has more wins over young, in-shape contenders than brittley does.
