Most likely it to be a close UD for Cotto. Somewhere in the 8-4, 7-5 range. I expect Cotto to figure Mosley out in around the fourth round, and start landing the jab a lot. I don't expect him to be overly aggressive until around the 8th when Mosley tires down a little.

He will probably be staggered a couple of times. I'm pretty much expecting it to be on a right hook when he comes in. Mosley will double, triple up on the jab, while Cotto covers up. He will try to throw combinations from the outside and move before Cotto can get off, so Cotto will have to resort to that jab, which imo will surprise the hell out of everybody.
Good break down there bud, Ive been telling any1 who will listen that Cotto's highly under rated Jab will be a factor in this fight too!

LOL, before every fight, before every step up in class, people question Cotto's defense.

"He got rocked by Corley, how is he gonna handle Zab Judah?!?!". He not only handled him, he clobbered him and made him basically beg for mercy. Cotto is no Mayweather, so yes he gets hit, but you guys act like he's Gatti out there, trading punch for punch.

The closer we get to fight night, the more I'm leaning towards Cotto winning a close decision, maybe split, in a tough battle.

When he beats Mosley, what will the Cotto naysayers say then? Mosley was old, Cotto's defense is still shaky, and if he steps up in class again he'll get schooled?

Only step up in class left is Mayweather, and I'm not ready to pick that fight until after the Mosley fight, though if money's on the line, I'd bet on Mayweather, but the Cotto haters need to stop pretending he's been fighting journeymen all this time.

Malignaggi(a lesser opponent than Mosley) was able to land pillow punch combinations at will and he even staggered Cotto. Can you imagine what's going to happen when a hard puncher like Mosley lands combinations at will on Cotto. I like Cotto, but with his Jake LaMotta type style and terrible defense he is gonna get exposed badly and Shane Mosley is the guy to expose him. The Puerto Rican fans at MSG are gonna be in for a big surprise, but I really won't be surprised at all.

        Good call.
