i dont understand how any real man could support such a coward. mayweather is afraid to fight the best and that is the coward way. he has not fought a top fighter since 2002 with castillo. since then he ducked all the best at 140 and the best at 147. there are so many good fighters at 147 like margarito cotto mosley williams cintron clottey collazo but all he has fought is mitchell judah and baldomir?? how can anyone support this?? and of course we all know he even turned down a career high payday to fight the best mexican welterweight in the world.

honestly how can you mayweather fans support someone who is afraid to fight the best?? iwas not a big fan of sugar ray leonard who reminds me kind of like mayweather but that man was definetely ready to fight the best and he proved it many times. i can understand why people would support leonard. why would you support a coward like mayweather who fights like a chicken and dont want none of the best fighters??

This is incorrect. Boxing is the sport of knocking out your opponent. Boxing is the art of hitting and not being hit, but the sport has always been based around knockouts from its modern origins right up to its current form. I grant you that amateur boxing is the sport of hitting and not being hit, but professional boxing is all about causing damage, which is why knockdowns are given extra scores and knockouts are still the goal.

On the other hand I find it laughable that anyone would call a professional fighter a "coward". If you make your living fighting other trained fighters it simply isn't cowardice in any way shape or form. I suspect strongly that "toe to Viva Warrior Girl" or whatever is a fat teenager that only pulls on a pair of gloves if it is cold.

Exactly, if it was just about hitting and not getting hit, pro boxing would be run the same way amateurs is, headgear and all with points given for landing punches. Pro-Judges are needed to score draws of course, but also to reward aggression.
