how did he duck the best when Gatti, Baldomir and Oscar were Champions whom he dethroned for their titles? how was he supposed to decipher who was Champ and who wasn't, in his position he was just a contender going up in class and facing the Champion of the division, which he did and made it look easy by the way.. what you want for him to get all bloodied up like Israel Vasquez and Raul Marquez do? I got 100% respect for them but they fight more than what they Box, they engage more than what they showcase skills.. and you say you can see why people support Leonard, but didn't he duck the **** out of Aaron Pryor who was a clear cut sure shot in beating him? didn't he move up? Floyd never avoided Tszyu the fight just never materialized, he evens expressed interest in facing him if he can re establish himself again and Tszyu hasn't pulled his calling card.. now he's facing Ricky Hatton, a pure fighter with outrageous power for his size and is undefeated with more wins and KO's than Floyd, you telling me Floyd is a coward? nah yo you got it wrong.. no disrespect neither I'm just pointing out the facts.. 100

Floyd knew that Tszyu was the King, he even said so in an interview I saw and he predicted Tszyu to KO Hatton. Floyd was scared of Kostya and he clearly avoided him at 140, he fought these bums instead.

i dont understand how any real man could support such a coward. mayweather is afraid to fight the best and that is the coward way. he has not fought a top fighter since 2002 with castillo. since then he ducked all the best at 140 and the best at 147. there are so many good fighters at 147 like margarito cotto mosley williams cintron clottey collazo but all he has fought is mitchell judah and baldomir?? how can anyone support this?? and of course we all know he even turned down a career high payday to fight the best mexican welterweight in the world.

honestly how can you mayweather fans support someone who is afraid to fight the best?? iwas not a big fan of sugar ray leonard who reminds me kind of like mayweather but that man was definetely ready to fight the best and he proved it many times. i can understand why people would support leonard. why would you support a coward like mayweather who fights like a chicken and dont want none of the best fighters??

From the time Mayweather moved to 140 to the time Tszyu quit on his stool against Hatton was roughly a year. It wasn't like he jumped out of the division and avoided Tszyu... Tszyu retired. It wasn't like Floyd was sitting around at 140 fighting bums for years avoiding Tszyu.

Could a fight between the 2 of them probably have been aranged? Sure, it's probable. But there wasn't, and it was nobody's ****ing fault and neither was "ducking" the other one.

I'm not debating that Floyd is a douchebag who needs to shut his mouth, because he is and he should. However, You can not be a professional fighter at a championship level and be a coward. You simply can't. To suggest that you can be only proves your ignorance and that your hatered of Floyd means more to you than proving you have common sense.

I dont get this "floyd ducked X" stuff. There is no proof of it, I mean sure it seems odd that he is finally challenged by Oscar de la Hoya, a fighter who is not THAT great, and he gets a win by 1 biased and bogus scoring by 1 judge on 1 round(12). That makes one think that he might not have wanted to challenge himself too much in his career, if he would just deliver more wretched performances like that.

Boxing is a sport of hit and don't get hit. Mayweather is just so good defensivly that no one can force him to fight. I'm sick of people thinking that to be a good boxer you have to go for the KO everytime and just punch like a ****** for 12 rounds.

This is incorrect. Boxing is the sport of knocking out your opponent. Boxing is the art of hitting and not being hit, but the sport has always been based around knockouts from its modern origins right up to its current form. I grant you that amateur boxing is the sport of hitting and not being hit, but professional boxing is all about causing damage, which is why knockdowns are given extra scores and knockouts are still the goal.

On the other hand I find it laughable that anyone would call a professional fighter a "coward". If you make your living fighting other trained fighters it simply isn't cowardice in any way shape or form. I suspect strongly that "toe to Viva Warrior Girl" or whatever is a fat teenager that only pulls on a pair of gloves if it is cold.
