i think hes great for the sport he comes to fight.. i think if u put him in there with a technican with a good chin, hell run into massive problems..

i disagree, i jermain taylor is a big, strong middleweight. pavlik is an elite fighter. i wouldn't be surprised if he held the title for a long time (although i think taylor can get him in the rematch).. and i'm a huge jermain taylor fan, and, quite frankly, i'm not a big pavlik fan (he has an exciting style, and i think he's good for the sport, but i'm just not a huge fan, plus i'm a big taylor fan), but i give respect where it's due, kelly pavlik is the real deal, get used to hearing his name

Excuses,excuses,excuses. Miranda was fine, Pavlik took all of his power shots and was unphased. I am tired of the weight drained excuses, Pavlik has a harder time than anyone trying to make weight and you don't see him whining or making excuses like Miranda did.

After seeing him fight Jermain Taylor and winning,this is my summary of Kelly Pavlik.

Let me begin by saying, he is a top guy, and I don't hate him AT ALL before you all jump in and label me as a hater, but this is what I've come to conclude:


He was exposed as having a weak chin, Jermain isn't really powerful, yet he managed to really rock Pavlik, and didn't go on to finish him off.

He doesn't come across as a solid middle weight.

Doesn't fight like an elite pro boxer ,i.e. swift crisp punches, reflexes, head movement etc... look at fighters like mosley, de la hoya, floyd, barrera, vasquez fight or spar, and you'll know what I mean.

He seems like a raggy doll.

I don't care if you disagree with me, but that is my analysis.

Newforce, you are an "up and comer" for a reason, obviously. That is top three of the lamest serious posts I've read on this site. I know you're entitled to your opinion, but if you're not a "hater" like you stated, then you can only be ignorant. Maybe you ought to quickly admit to being a "hater" so your perspective will make more sense.

Keep on dreamin, Pavlik is Taylor and Miranda's daddy. Pavlik is an abusive father though, he treats his sons Taylor and Miranda like personal punching bags and he knocks them out cold, I thought Pavlik was a nicer guy than that.
