hatton is the lacy of this fight against mayweather. one dimensional plodder. calzaghe is just mad that this fight will make mayweather look better than he did against lacy.

Calzaghe supporting his fellow countryman of course. Irregardless of Mayweathers tactics (generally aside from boxing) he has yet to receive a fraction of that type of support.

He shouldve been at 135 until this time and just now moving to 140 to finish his career.

key word-should've been. pay attention boy.

and dlt's pretty dead on with his comments. you talk about floyd cherry picking his opponents, yet, don't claim the same for hatton.

let's see if hatton could bully sosa. i bet you a million dollars that he couldn't, and hatton would have trouble against corley would was a southpaw and threw looping but hard punches. hatton isn't the most defensive oriented fighter in boxing, that's for sure. hatton vs gatti at 140? let's see how that would've played out seeing how hatton's style played right into gatti's hand, especially with buddy mggirt in gatti's corner. call these handpicked oppoents if you want to. floyd's first ppv fight was against gatti, and it was a smart fight to take. hell, floyd told the media in advance when he was at 130 pounds that he would beat gatti, so just because you call gatti a shot fighter when he faced floyd doesn't mean he was, because in claiming this, you basically proved that gatti was in too many wars when he fought floyd and leaving out the fact that at any weight, floyd would be quicker, more elusive, hard to hit, have better foot movment, better combinations, a smarter mindset. hell, gatti was in a lot of wars prior to floyd but he also was a hard puncher and a brawler and you could claim that he was shot after his first war but continued his career and won fights afterwards, and yes, floyd would have beaten kosta and he never ducked kosta. i mean, hatton swarmed kosta and had he fought floyd in 2005 like he should have, hatton would have bee punished severely, and he will still be punished come december 8th, mark my words.

            LMAO.

What about the bull**** Floyd Mayweather talks 24/7? Thats so ****ing hypocritical of you to whine about that when Calzaghe is just giving his opinion on what will happen in the fight.

Gatti was shot when he fought Floyd. Furthermore, while always admirable for his guts, Gatti was never a Class A fighter. You want to speculate as to how Hatton would have done with Floyd's competition. Fine. Speculate all you want. I'll speculate that prime Tszyu would have knocked Floyd out. But, we'll never know will we? And, yes I do believe Floyd ducked Tszyu at 140. There is simply no excuse for what Floyd pulled at 140. No excuse. You think I'm the only person in the world to see that coming down? Well, here's something for you to digest:

                  MN File
Konstantin "Kostya" Tszyu (born September 19, 1969) is a Russian-born boxer of mixed Russian, Korean and Mongol descent. He is an Australian citizen and two time world junior welterweight champion.
The son of a fitter in a metal factory and a nurse, Tszyu was born in a town named Serov, near the Ural Mountains.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, in 1992, Tszyu escaped from the Russian army and fled to Australia with his girlfriend, where they married in 1993 and became Australian citizens. Before marrying her, though, Tszyu had already turned professional, beating Darrell Hiles by a knockout in one round on March 1, 1992 at Melbourne.

Tszyu won five junior welterweight world titles, but hasn't fought since losing to Britain's Ricky Hatton in Manchester on June 5, 2005. Tszyu lost this fight, and his world title, by TKO after retiring on his stool at the end of the 11th round. He was also behind on all three cards. After this defeat, Tszyu offered Hatton his telephone number for friendship and advice.

Tszyu has been slated for a possible 2006 rematch with Zab Judah and has even talked with the Mayweather camp about a possible future meeting, but has stated he will not consider any fights in 2006, and has seemingly not yet made a decision as to whether he will continue boxing at all.

Tszyu competed on the Australian version of Dancing With the Stars, placing second.

As the Light-Welterweight champion, Tszyu was considered one of, if not the best, pound-for-pound fighters in the world; enough of a threat to be 'ducked' by Oscar De La Hoya, Arturo Gatti and even Floyd Mayweather Jr. Tszyu's record currently stands at 31 professional wins (25 by knockout), two losses and one no contest. He is considered by many in Australia to be a national sports hero. Tszyu and his family reside in Sydney where his son attends St. George Christian School.

                  ----------------------------
So according to this article.....not only did Floyd duck Tszyu, but Oscar did too!

So, if you're going to talk about 140, at least do it with some pretense of objectivity. Think what you want, but at least Hatton had the balls to take Tszyu on. At least he had the balls.

You misread what I wrote. I was talking about Floyd's size and how super small he is. I said with his size he really shouldve stayed at 135 until now and just finish his career at 140. He really had no business ever fighting at 147 let alone 154. He can get away with it because he's that talented but he's much smaller then all those other guys that why I think its so unfair the way they judge him. Idiots like Manny Steward say that he's not Hearns or SRL and he basically compares what they do at 147 but how fair is that? He was doing that even in Floyd's 2nd fight at that weight.

How fair is that when Floyd started all the way at 130 and clearly doesnt belong at 147 while those other 2 guys started at 147, were huge at that weight, and finished there careers at LHW. Ofcourse there going to look better at 147 but if you compare them to Floyd at 130 then its a very good comparison for Floyd and Floyd has looked much better at the higher weights then either of those guys ever did. They ****** when they went up to there 3rd, 4th, and 5th weight catagory. Also, dont get it twisted, Hatton is clearly the bigger man even at 147. His team knows that and thats why they said Floyd is the only guy they will fight. Anyone who says that Floyd is the bigger man doesnt know boxing at all. Floyd may fight at WW but its not real weight. Hatton is bigger

Fair enough. That makes sense. Must have misunderstood your prior post. And I do absolutely agree that Hatton is the naturally bigger guy, Floyd's reach and height notwithstanding.
