Byrd is probably only fighting as a heavyweight because there is more money to be made in this division than fighting as a cruiserweight. I personally think considering Byrd is at the last end of his career he should move down to cruiserweight and challenge some of the top guys down there before retiring. It doesn't make sense for him to continue to take punishment from those giants in the heavyweight division.

Is it possible for him to still do it at his age? But then again Holyfield is still fighting at he's 45 and so is Tarver and he's 38.

Byrds skill set goes against the fighting past 40 threshold. Hopkins and Foreman both have very good power. Holyfield actually doesn't have a ton of power but he has some so I guess he's kind of an odd exception. That said, he hasn't looked good against a good fighter in 4-5 years. Byrd definitely needs to think about hanging them up. I imagine he could have a future in announcing so now might be a good time to get out. He was a very unique fighter but once he slowed down, it was gonna be hard for him to beat a really strong guy with speed. Thank god I don't have to hear his wife scream during his fights anymore. She's like the Brenda Warner of boxing.

Byrd is a nice person, i dont want to see him get murdered!! Hes over the hill and should leave the game for good. His style of fighting doesnt work for an older age. His defence and reflexes declined and he didnt move enough and for some reason he often stand against the ropes with that rope a dope bull****, just the wrong gameplan against Povetkin. He should have moved way more, be more mobile.
About Povetkin, he proved to be a good fighter but hes not good enough yet to beat someone like Klitschko. The fight was not verry impressive.

I keep thinking Povetkin has bit off more than he can chew and each time he proves me wrong. I am a believer.
