Povetkin Powers Past Byrd To Advance

What did this fight show to you? Here is my assessment:

Byrd is getting old, he got tired towards the end of the fight, his speed is no longer there. He might want to retire.

Povetkin's stamina proved to be pretty good. He slowed down toward the end but did not appear to be tired or exhausted.
Povetkin's power is overrated. He landed some flash shots on Byrd and Byrd did not seem to be affected by them a whole lot. It looked like he finally got to work on his defense a little, he's not as wide open as he used to be.

Wlad kills Povetkin if they fight.

Byrd was always a little fish in a big boy's pond, I give him all the props in the world for staying at HW as long as he did.

He was fun to watch when he was younger.

Byrd has always had a pretty good chin...even at HW...so I wasn't surprised he took the shots...however I never looked at Pov as a Forman like destroyer...he is volume with some crisp, short shots that can hurt you enough

Byrd should try and move down to cruiser and get a shot at Mormeck. If he cant, he should hang em up.

Byrd's chin was always his superior defense. That's why he was never really went down except when he fought fighters who had a better handspeed than him.
