Hammed thought he was gods warrior and would/could never be beat..
he truley believed that **** so when he realised he was getting beat he was utterly stunned to the core and after he was a completly broken man emotionally,i think it hurt him so badly that he never recoverd from it

If Hamed was so great why didn't he chase the rematch?

IMO didnt care much about boxing anymore. He was beaten and humiliated by Barrera.
He didnt train properly for Barrera thinking that he could just KO him.

After all the years of Hamed shouting his mouth off about how great he was, he didnt believe in himself enough to fight Barrera again.

Its ok to be arrogant and dance around if u can back it up, but after losing what more was he other than a clown?

He had one more fight and apparently looked crap. The crowd booed him. Usually people with such big ego's crumble very easily.

The backlash on him wouldn't have been so bad if he didn't retire after. He would be regarded so much more if he came back from the loss blazing and showing the hunger he once had.
