Well Lewis damaged his eye so bad the fight had to be stopped. Lewis was ahead anyway.

Lewis in his prime beats either Klit nine times out of ten. Sorry.

who did Tyson beat in the 80's who had a better resume than Lewis?

          Answer: no-one

Tysons first loss was a sustained beating at the hands of Buster Douglas. Both of Lewis' losses were one off punches.

Tyson knocked out bums or old men in the 80's, a bit like Marciano.

Tyson never beat a fighter that was the caliber of Lewis, and when he did he lost, but no one looked more impressive beating up bums than Tyson did so we can speculate as to who he could have beaten during his 2 year prime.

He probably was not wanting to be in the ring anymore and probably took Vitali somewhat lightly.

Vitali was getting stronger when the fight was stopped and there is no doubt in my mind that he would have stopped lewis. people need to quit making excuses. if Lewis was out of shape than who's fault is it? Lennox Lewis's fault so i don't get why people is hating on Vitali.

It's called a bad day at the office almost all fighters have off nights some more that others, but Lewis had more good than bad, he still could mop the floor with any of the champs now if he wanted to, one of the best heavys of all time.

maybe but it looked to me that all lewis would have to do is hang in there a few more rounds and vitali would not be able to see.
