if this fight was in the uk and on at 4am in the usa, how many peeps would stay up over there watching floyd?
There will be 1000's watching Ricky over here and across the world there will probably be more people watching it because of Ricky rather than Floyd. That makes Ricky the bigger drawComment

Hatton has always been right about that.In a recent interview with Sportinglife, Ricky Hatton took shots at the drawing power of WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. The two men will collide at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on December 8. HBO pay-per-view and Sky Box Office will televise. [details]
Because he's in it.Comment

Let's put it this way...
Ricky seems to be getting bolder with his choice of words by the day.
Has he discovered a secret technique to beat Floyd?
Perhaps, more like a way to cut the ring off more effectively and attacking to da body. More likely, something Floyd has already seen before.
What I'll venture to say is, Ricky's stock will certainly rise in the U.S. if he puts on a heck of a performance even if he loses.
I tend to think many fighters improve their fight game after fighting a better skilled opponent.
And if by some stroke of luck they end up defeating the champ in front of an electrified PPV audience, when the odds were against them, lifting the title belt is only the beginnning of their stardom.
Ask Carlos 'TuTu' Baldomir how great that feels. He'll tell ya's.

Ricky Hatton is more popular in the UK and Floyd is more popular in the USA.
Your own numbers tell the story of who has more fans.Comment
