Hopkins is just to smart. He takes your gameplan and makes you throw it out the window. He would beat Pavlik in one ugly fight. He will get the SD because of the TR influence.

This would be the second time since winning the middleweight crown that Hopkins would be fighting and losing to a young hungry opponent.
And also an opponent his own size.
Hopkins has made a career out of fighting in a division lacking any talent which had to make do with blown up welterweights to bolster his record.
Pavlik will find Hopkins and when he does it will be KO/TKO time.
Hopkins doesn't like to fight with big boys.
He has spent all his career boiling down from LHW to bully at MW.
Winky wright was another small man he picked on.
Please don't anyone mention Tarver like he was in any kind of form at LHW either.

I agree with this. Hopkins isn't going to let Pavlik throw those hard right hands at any point in this fight. I'm not sure Pavlik is versatile enough to overcome that. Hopkins makes this fight ugly and boring, but it would be close enough for controversy because Hopkins is too old to take full physical advantage of his intelligence.

I love the way Pavlik was hitting when Taylor was trying to hold......he would do the same against Hopkins and win an ugly decision....Hopkins is just too old at this point for a scrapper like Pavlik.

I am surprised at how many people are picking Hopkins to win this fight. I wasn't aware that there were so many Hopkins nuthuggers on here.

I will bet all my points on Pavlik to KO/TKO Hopkins when this fight happens.
