Hopkins is gonna get brutally knocked out by Pavlik, it will be a shocking sight to see the hall of famer Hopkins laying on the canvas, unconscious.

I think there are better fights out there for Pavlik, but it sure dosen't hurt to have a KO win over Hopkins on your resume.

Why would Hopkins get brutally knocked out? He's only been down twice, in the same fight, and neither time was he even hurt. And that fight was like 15 years or so ago.

Bernard tears up fighters careers. It would be interesting to see if he a can gain the MW title again against a freaking beast like Kelly.

You have quite the wealth of knowledge... I only know that because I really liked Bernard when I started watching.

It was in his second shot at the IBF Middleweight title (first was the loss against Jones Jr.), against Segundo Mercado. Apparantly he had Mercado out on his feet at the end of the 12th... the fight ended a draw. Hopkins won the rematch decisively.

I don't get why people think Hopkins will be KO'd either... just like Winky Wright. Neither guy has really been hurt in their entire careers. I mean, there is a first time for everything, but... idk.

I think HOpkins could get stopped. I dont think he will and im definetly not putting money on that, but its a possibility IMO.

All depends on how Pavliks power moves up with him. If its more so, then yes he could, if its less then probably not.

But first is Taylor who i think COULD, but probably wont, pose even MORE of a threat then he did last time if he is still okay mentally.

But if he gets past him and Pavlik shows his power is better, i definetly think it could happen.

I mean think about it. I think Taylor buzzed Hopkins, and even though Taylor can definetly punch i dont think it compares to a flush Pavlik shot. And ive never seen Pavlik hurt a guy and not finish the job. Also, Hopkins struggled with Winky Wright, who was 15+ pounds over his natural weight, Whether thats a testament to Wrights skills or a showing of age from Hopkins is yet to be seen, but i think its the latter.

            PAVLIK UD

Pavlik has the punching power to KO fighters with Good/Great chins(Taylor,Miranda,Zuniga,Zertuche) and now Hopkins.

I think Pavlik could DEFINETLY stop Winky Wright. As much as it pains me to say that, as i love WRIGHT, but that is a TERRIBLE styles matchup for him IMO.

It wouldn't be an easy night for Pavlik, but he can take soooo many risks without ever really taking a risk if you know what i mean. Wright doesnt have the power or the size to really catch Pavlik and hurt him.

So Pavlik can go all out and really try what he wants.

Id go with Pavlik by KO in the later rounds

What's what you all don't seem to get... power is only half the equation of a KO... you have to hit the target first. Hopkins doesn't get hit flush, or even hard, very often.

Hopkins ruled the Middleweight division for what, almost 10 years, 20 consecutive title defenses, he started getting older, a little slower, sees not much talent at light heavy, why the hell not move up?
