i'm neutral on taylor, but i will say that i have more respect for him now then i did before his official loss to pavlik, but had the fight gone the distance and the way those cards were looking i would have burned down the city if taylor got another gift decision!!!!!
but since he took his medicine like a man and didn't cry or complain about getting stopped i have gained a little respect for taylor.
personally i think he needs to get back with his old team, regroup, and maybe move up in weight and still fight 154lb'ers, haha, no seriously he needs to have fun again in boxing, i think that when he changed trainers and manny steward became his trainer taylor took a **** and stopped having fun with boxing. but who knows maybe taylor was just hype and will crumble in his next fight, that all depends on who they have him fight next. the best thing for taylor is to take a tune up fight to get his confidence back, which hasnt' really been there since the second fight with hopkins. taylor had it their first fight and hopkins took some of that and then in their rematch taylor fought like he had it, but after that, like i said, taylor took a **** and stopped having fun, stopped having real confidence, i mean how could you when you win the undisputed championship of a gift decision and then you handlers tell you you aren't getting any better and we're going to take away your team and give you to a guy that is a star already and who has a stable of fighters and who's star fighter at the time (andy lee) didn't even have 10 fights.
that has got to mess with your head......................
time will tell with taylor, either his is a champ and can come back and come back strong or he was hype all along like i've been saying all along, but like i said since he took his medicine i've gotten to like him a tad bit, not much but enough to stop trashing him like i did before...............i still stand by my previous rants about taylor, they have changed a bit but pertaining to what i was saying at the time that **** still sticks.....
