Do You Respect Jermain Taylor As A Fighter?

I DON'T. And that's just my ****ing opinion. I'm entitled to it.

But not because of of Taylor's questionable victory's..

I don't respect him as a fighter because of the way he fought Kelly Pavlik; like a ****ing moron idiot. Did he really think he could take Kelly's punch, or did he just go completely ******-dumb in there?.. I guess we'll never know.

Regardless, Taylor LET Pavlik get those monster shots off.. He should have run for his ****ing life. Instead he backed straight up and kept his hands at his sides. Jermain Taylor made ZERO distinction between Cory Spinks or Kassim Ouma backing him up and landing flush, and a goliath like Kelly Pavlik backing him up and landing flush. NOTHING different. What a ****ing IDIOT!

Kelly Pavlik is a killer. What Steward and Taylor were thinking I have no idea.. I guess they figured Jermain WOULDN'T do exactly what he did..

Not all of us have gotten a chance to see what they saw - he KNEW better.

Watch this.. It made me further disgusted..

I see what you are saying Addison but I can't really agree with you, this is boxing after all and a most of boxing is done(especially when **** hits the fan) on instincts. When you are tired, sore and just been hit by a punch that would kill a regular person it does not always works out for your instincts to get into a survival mode and clinch(and no, Taylor would not be able to bike away from Pavlik at that point, he was just too tired and groggy).
So, do I respect Taylor? Yes, he is a good fighter who held his own against two Hall of Fame fighters and even won.

Well if you respect Floyd for not dominating turds like Baldo and an old DLH you gotta give Jermain props for hanging with Bernard Hopkins. TWICE.

Taylor fought like a ****ing amateur.

He has no passion for the sport..

This is the cut throat business. **** Taylor.

            Respect is earned.

            And respect is lost.

its funny how all 3 of his last fights played out the same
him starting slow, getting nailed a bit
then coming back and knocking them the **** out

i agree with you that he didn't fight smart in his fight with pavlik but you do have to give him credit for the opposition he faced against. hopkins twice, wright, ouma , spinks then pavlik ain't bad now is it so yes i do respect him
