One of the things I heard him say is that Hatton's punches are too wide. And if you go and review hatton's tapes, the next straight punch he throws will be the first one.

    I exaggerate. Slightly.

But Hatton is just too one-dimensional. You'll see. Left hook. Clutch. Right hook. clutch.

You guys are very impressed with Ricky. And I understand that you need to be. Why else would you be fans? But nearly anytime a fighter is going to bring just ONE thing, he will have problems against broadly skilled elite competition like Floyd.

    The one-sidedness will be Winky/Tito-esque.
i was thinkin more like b-hop / tito-esque. but i get wut ur sayin. good post too by the way.

Hatton is gonna do alot better then Gatti did. McGirt didnt seem to have too much of a issue with that fight happening and nobody thought Gatti actually had a chance. I made alot of money down in Vegas on that one .

Gatti insiders didn't want AG to take the fight. But A LOT of boxing writers picked Gatti.

        I've posted those before.

You exaggerate alot. Maybe you need to spend more time studying Hatton's fights, and less expounding on the theories of others.

I posted a perfect clip of Hatton at his best....v. Tszyu....yesterday. Review that and then come back and tell us why you believe he is "one dimensional."

Says the guy who had Gatti box Floyd.

Seriously I respect McGirt's opinion, but I'll turn my shoulder to anything he has to say about fighting Mayweather. He prepared Gatti for the worst possible fight.

Or... just make a mental note that I created a whole thread about "no excuses".

I have gone on the record. We can bump that thread on Dec 9th around 1am Eastern time.

True. But he didn't train Gatti to stand there pertrified and absorb punishment. Arturo completely shut down. He was cooked at that point.
