How many times must I answer this question? I've said over and over, if Floyd wins I'll give him the credit he deserves. I've further said that this fight is Floyd's best opportunity to erase alot of very valid criticism that surrounds his career. This depends upon how he wins, if he wins.

Conversely, If Floyd just "beats" Ricky, then it validates that Hatton is a B-level fighter.

If Floyd outclasses Ricky, then the "journeyman", "overrated" labels are probably appropriate. And would, by extension, say much about Tszyu.

Hyena has used the "common opponents" argument alot. Hyena also said that Tszyu had "a lot left in the tank". So this fight will be indicative of Tszyu....right?

This fight will show whether Hatton ia a A, B, or C level guy.

I thought the first fight was very close, could have gone either way depending on what you conentrate on scoring.

But guys, Floyd was injured in the 1st fight early on, and automatically gave a rematch and beat Castillo without any question whatsoever. So does it really matter...??

Why are you so obsessed with Tszyu? What says alot about Tszyu is Floyd skipping out on a fight with him. That says alot about Tszyu.

Anyway, the Castillo I fight is a good fight in which to analyze because Floyd was beaten. Evidently, Floyd wasn't hurt enough before the fight to reschedule for injuries, so I am assuming he must have injured himself in the fight. If not...then it sounds like an excuse. But, to be fair, he did come back and out point Castillo, although it was a totally different game plan at work.

True. But at 140 Castillo is a different story. We cant judge how he would of fared at 140. I still think prime Hatton whips prime Castillo.

Let's say Floyd is fighting.... Casamayor.. in a mythical bout. And Casamayor is lading 20 punches, while Mayweather is landing 15 or so. This is for about the first 4 rounds. It's still pretty close, right? Now let's say that in the 4th round, Casamayor just unloads with a barrage of punches, lands 60 in that round out of 80. Mayweather does well, with 40 punches of his own. Then, it's the same pattern, except now, Mayweather is landing 20-10, until the 8th round, and Casamayor does the same thing as in the 4th. 70 out of 100, this time. Mayweather lands 40 punches of his own. Then the 20 to 10 in favor of Mayweather, until the 12th round, and Casamayor lands 50 punches, to Mayweathers 20. Overall, you'd have roughly, 300 punches for Casamayor, to Mayweathers 260, or so. It'd seem like Casamayor dominated the action, by punch stats. But, it'd be a close fight, with roughly 6 rounds, apeice. So it's a pick'em.

Point it, don't always trust punch stats.

Why dont you just admit that he is a favorite fighter of yours? Because your pretense of being objective ("Floyd is not even in my top 5") is so damn ridiculous it deserves the highest condemnation, with all these posts laying the predicate that "Floyd is best of his generation".

How on earth does the "best p4p boxer in the sport today" beating Ricky validate that Hatton is a B-level fighter? That makes absolutely no sense at all. By that logic, anyone that ever lost a fight is a B-level fighter. Including Floyd, since he lost to Castillo.

By Dios' "logic", it further means that if Hatton wins, Floyd was always a mediocre fraud. I mean having been beaten by a B class fighter is pretty devastating to the reputation.
